In some ways he‘s pretty damn childish, though. And the house being rebuilt has nothing to do with him, other than the fact he had deferred rent. The place he was at first while with Tsukasa was an apartment owned by someone else- a landlord who is now taking care of the rebuilding process. They’ve only been living in places owned by others that they are renting or otherwise being allowed to stay in.

Sure, he Is a hard worker and intelligent, but he has consistently demonstrated a lack of actual wisdom in a number of ways that makes him feel immature despite his accomplishments. Remember when he was almost suckered into spending his life savings on diamond rings? It took the actual wise one in the relationship, Tsukasa, to stop that disaster.

Of course, Tsukasa would probably be a fantastic parent, but I don’t think either of them are really mentally ready for that. They’re barely managing to do the lewd things as it is, anyway.

It’s been pointed out before that it’s probably best to think of them as a cohabitating dating couple that simply have a legally-recognized relationship, which makes it far less likely for interlopers to interfere with their efforts to grow closer to each other.

They still haven’t been with each other for more than two months, at the most, based on clearly-stated timelines at key points. It won’t even be two months by the time they get the word from their landlord that the apartment is rebuilt, even. It would be, at best, a month and three weeks by then.
