Silly Goro-Dad. You should know that cougars eat foxes!

That being said, unbelievably based mother. Not even ugly mob bastards in an NTR manga are so dedicated. I went back to the chapter where they presumably met (Ch 103), but they don't show it... All I can do is speculate that at some point, Goro-Mom just flat out asks them both if she could fluff them and they agreed. So they probably both saw her fluffing each other, or Goro-Mom dragged them to the side and fluffed them separately. I can't tell which one's more monstrous.

I can't wait til she gets to the marriage ceremony with the foxes. She's gonna be a true demon fluffer hunter.

As far as I know, you can't own a sword in Japan without a license. Those licenses are only granted for historically or culturally significant swords. This would naturally make a katana the easiest one since they are culturally significant in Japan. However, it's still a hassle many wouldn't bother with.

Years ago a friend of mine had some visitors from Canada, one of whom was a Japanese person who moved to Canada for work. I got an idea and took my katana to the friend's place, knowing all those draconian Japanese laws. The Japanese woman was quite delighted, having photos of herself taken, with the sword in her hands. Apparently she had never had the chance in Japan to touch one. Now, they do sell souvenir katana in Japan, but those are things that only look convincing from 10 or 15 meters away.

p2, bottom right, that "discretely" should probably be "discreetly", since it doesn't seem like the yokai are living separately from humans, what with all these sneaky foxes and coon-dogs and con-men wall-men in our midst.
Like an American pulling a history book.
Inaccurate and in poor taste. History books are as legal in the USA as they are anywhere else - often more so. But I do love when people make "jokes" about the ignorance of others and fuck up their grammar in the process.

Goro dad doing the ears! So cute!
Uh-oh, Akane-chan in the crosshair! That luxurous black fur is up for thorough fluffing
Highlight of the chapter is Kogane's smile at p.6

Thank you very much for the translation, gentlemen.

How pathetic of you, striking other people's comments because you don't like the joke. I say it is in good taste — it really is shocking for an American to pull a history book. And seeing you being salty about it adds more to the fun

Nice wholesome chapter, once again Dad passing the vibe check with flying colors, I worry about Mom's fluff obsession, but I can't talk.

You can get a license to have a katana, but you must register with the police and have a valid reason (such as being a student at a dojo or a sensei). The police will contact said dojo to confirm your story, and they will take measurements of the sword and scabbard; any changes require updating the details on the license. And as far as I remember, you still have to go to the police station yourself in order to renew your license.

EDIT:
I dug a little deeper and got confirmation, because my memory was spotty.
Katanas are actually registered by the Board of Education, and the registration card has to stay with the sword, and is what contains all of the details of the katana, including its dimensions.
Going to the police is for a keitai kyokashou (carry permit), which is the permit to actually move around in public with a sword, however this is not that heavily enforced as long as the police can verify why you need to be out and about with a katana (like I said earlier about being a student or sensei at a dojo). But getting it helps make things smoother with the police.

Based on what you've said here, I see no reason to care what you think it pathetic. It's certainly not some principled stance against using strike reacts. And it's not about defending people's right to make jokes, since you've just confirmed you think it's actually true and not a joke.

I simply do not think the wholesome chapter of the wholesome fox manga was improved by having a random unrelated national-stereotype joke tacked on the end. It felt hostile and left a bad taste in my mouth after a nice chapter.

Crying about America is a national pastime for much of America and the rest of the world. Very boring stuff though, for sure.
