I definitely felt this way after reading the first few chapters. The protagonist is extremely dumb, often in a way that hurts the story far more than it helps.

Those kinds of protagonists can only work when the story makes it seamlessly funny somehow. Chapter 9 and 10 did manage to do that a bit. Things become more entertaining when they bring in a lot of interesting side characters that can work off the main character's lack of a brain.
