There really is little to no point in the overly evil backstory for him. It hasn't come to play since and seemed to just be another hammering of "hyumans are bloody evil even when 'decent' appearing". Could've easily had him be a two faced rutheless business man, without having his backstory be that rutheless. Big difference between shady dealings and hostile take overs and his non-stop killing spree, not to mention the seduction murder frame-job that got his family cursed.

Easily could've had him Scrooge rutheless, but instead we got Flintheart.

From the WN source, if we talking about her personality or the method that she usually use no she is quite a tame one...
But if we talking about that statement in this chapter I think we must remember that she live in the world that highly praise the beauty, then Lime.co make 3 of them got so ugly comparable they got send to the hell on earth, for her to not so easily forgive Lime is understandable...

The backstory was justification for the curse. Rembrandt now is a changed man. Even if he can't erase the past, all Makoto know is the current Rembrandt.

For Tomoe, it's more convenient for her to not expose his past as he's actually being a good mentor to Makoto.
