I think it's not that Sorawo doesn't care about Kozakura, but more like she couldn't empathize with how's she's feeling at all. Sorawo considered her whole dead cultist family situation totally normal after all, and if that's how she reacted to her own situation, it's not surprising she would easily disregard others' fears.

Ultimately, Sorawo did try her best to protect Kozakura and understood that she wronged her in someway, she just didn't entirely get how terrible Kozakura's ordeal really was. I think that Sorawo being like this is what makes her particularly resilient in the Otherside as well.

I tend to think that Sorawo's childhood left her with psychological wounds that have damaged and disrupted her ability to empathize with others. Not to the degree of being a complete sociopath, but it is definitely noticeable.

Anyway, on to the troops at Kisaragi station. Let's hope they're still in some condition to be rescued.

Kozakura may be best girl, but I don't get why she's meant to be the kindest. That group is full of good-natured people, and she doesn't particularly stand out in that regard. I mean, just now she just admitted to making a fuckton of money through being a middleman between people who do the actual work and some nebulous rich elites.

I think it's bad idea going to save that soldiers. First, they tried to kill them already. Second, even if they return to normal world, they will have to report about women who familiar with otherside and said their names. Any normal government is obliged after this to isolate witnesses and take control over doors to other side. Don't think it's good for Toriko or Sorawo plans. And third, it's American soldiers, right? Occupiers, in fact. Why would Japanese must care of them?

@eiznel That kinda makes sense, but Sorawo's been terrified by the Otherside too. Just earlier, she had come to ask Kozakura to help her find Toriko because she was scared of going alone. In this case, I think it might be more of a survival-oriented "me first" attitude that's behind her apathy, more so than an inability to grasp what Kozakura went through.

I had this thought earlier, but forgot to bring it up: why does Kozakura specifically want Sorawo to stay with her? Is she just more confident in Sorawo's abilities than Toriko's? Did she want to talk to Sorawo about something? Does Sorawo remind her of Satsuki? Maybe using the eye on Kozakura made her bond to Sorawo in some way? I might be overthinking it.

@Iwontrow short answer, keep reading, real one
next chapters Toriko and Kozakura point out that Sorawo with long hair kind of resembles Satsuki, as to why she asked her to stay that night with her is because of fear of the 3 old ladies

@Helgi_Ingrem this gets explained next chapter so skip the spoiler if you want
Only Toriko wants to save them out of good will, Sorawo on the other hand wants their guns and ammo

@Helgi_Ingrem: Only one of the soldiers may, possibly, have tried to kill them. It's actually unclear, because our girls booked it the instant he started to freak out.

Second: Who are they going to tell about "we got sucked into an alternate world full of monsters" and expect to be believed? While they will undoubtedly report it, I expect them all to end up in psych wards and not much else to come from it all. Also, exactly how much authority do the American forces in Japan have to "take control" of locations on Japanese soil? And third, it might surprise you, but not everyone in Japan thinks of US forces as an invading army. Also, Toriko is at most half-Japanese, and has lived significant portions of her life overseas. She has plenty of reasons to sympathize with foreign soldiers.

@AHunter Reading this I noticed that all characters here have notable leaps of logic and generally irrational behaviour. It's not to the point of being openly strange, but still slightly unsettling. Sorawo didn't even question them on matters related to Satsuki, when their obsession with her is definitely not normal, to the point of disregarding own safety and logic to find her. But okay, that could be taken as part of Sorawo's disinterest in others and lack of empathy. Then, they make some unfounded assumptions about otherworld and its phenomena, like with the phone calls, they somehow were confident that it was them who spoke nonsense during the call, not that the signal was corrupted or anything. And that's not the only thing they were weirdly confident about, I'm just too lazy to reread it all again and point out exact moments. Kozakura, who is supposed to be one with scientific approach also disregards many possibilities in favour of her own hypothesa. You would expect them to have more systematic approach if they truly want to find missing Satsuki, but instead they just wander blindly, without much efforts to understand what's going on.
Next is, I understand Kozakura feeling scared and wronged because Sorawo left her alone, but what's with complaints about shooting something that looked like Satsuki and was obviously trying to harm Toriko. Heck, even if that was real Satsuki, the right choice would be to shoot first, as it was visibly dangerous.
All in all, i feel like it's either some kind of underlying plot and something heavily influences characters reasoning skills or they are just dumb. I believe it's former, and that means Sorawo is only, even though not completely, sane(if we can call her that) person.
@Madcat6204 I think government already more or less knows about otherside. And Toriko's parents both were connected with military, so she does sympathize with soldiers.

@Madcat6204 too many corpses for psych wards I think. Even if all recording (they still have phones with cameras at least) would be damaged when they return to normal world, casualties (probably with many missing persons, apart from missing ammo, explosives, equipment etc.) too big to blame mass insanity. By the way, even if nobody believes in "otherside" , USA still may suspect and accuse Japan in development and usage extremely strong psychotropic weapon, for example, what is still not quite good.
It doesn't matter who will builds the fence around the doors, and who will cut Torikos magic hand off to research it, Jap or USA. What really matter is she will be left without way to otherside, without hand and probably without freedom.
Tell me more about how everyone loves foreigners and espesially their military bases on their land.

@Helgi_Ingrem: The losses will merit investigation, but I suspect little will be found. Even if they manage to backtrack things to the entrance the unit came in by, that's exactly one entrance, and not the one that our girls use. Also, names or not, they're going to have a hard time tracking down the girls to do anything to them, especially since kidnapping and illegal human experimentation is rather far outside the military's jurisdiction, especially in an allied country.

As for the last, if you're going to resort to hyperbole, there's no point in even talking with you.

Kozakura is right to be upset but what Sorawo shot was not the real Satsuki, I think anyone in that situation would have shot, since was taking Toriko.

@Madmac that's understandable. They have their flaws, and that's what character development is for. I'm sure they will grow on you as you advance.
