well fuck, it's all screwed now. Thorfinn thought he finally found a better path, but it looks like it was all for nothing.

And it's hard to not agree with his doubts about his pacifism. Even if Thorfinn had full control over this village, I don't think this could have been prevented. We live in an age of relative peace, but even now it's hard to justify complete pacifism. It's an admirable philosophy but I can't think of many examples of it working.

that's a depressing note to end on though, so I'm curious to see where this manga goes....

I feel a bit disappointed that Thorfinn should've known better especially meeting Garm the embodiment of only knowing violence as his language.

Though I still feel hopeful, knowing that it wasn't Askeladd and Thors that appeared and denying his ideals, if they were the ones that appeared, I would've said its over.
