Oof, Einar's face, that hits where it hurts - he knows the truth about what Thorfinn is saying. They wanted to find pristine land, free to live in peace. But there were already people there, they tried to make it work, but war never changes et al. What can they do? Fight forever?

Peace, the most difficult option.
I feel like this is the best summation of the story: war is never worth it, but peace isn't easy, so lazy and cowardly people will fan the flames and gamble on being among the survivors on the winning side rather than try for a real solution.

The ancient Spartans are a great example of this. Their entire culture can be understood quite easily once you realize that they were basically allergic to non-military manual labor. They were constantly invading their neighbors and taking slaves because they'd genuinely rather starve to death or bleed out from a spear wound rather than feed themselves. Their reputation as fierce warriors was almost entirely undeserved, especially considering how their anti-intellectual bent meant that their naval capabilities were dwarfed by their neighbor and rival Athens (who ruled pretty much the entire Mediterranean and were so prolific that "ancient Greece" is basically synonymous with "ancient Athens") while Sparta's territory never really extended beyond what you could reach on foot from Sparta.

We don't have any significant records from them at all; the only reason they didn't completely disappear into the dustbin of history is because they were mythologized by a handful of Athenian writers, such as Plato, who fetishized their sub-standard living conditions. (The word "Spartan" to this day means "marked by simplicity, frugality, or avoidance of luxury and comfort".)

Well, he's probably on Newfoundland, and they have found traces of settlements there. Your guess is as good as mine.
The island Arnheid’s village is on is Prince Edward Island/Epekwitk, that was told to readers all the way back in chapter 182.

And the abandoned Newfoundland settlement (based on the real life L'Anse aux Meadows archaeological site) that Leif Erikson and his siblings previously attempted to settle at was already shown back in chapter 179.

Ah, woops, sorry, you're most likely right. It has been a while since I've read this. =x Hard to keep track of everything.

So a thing that's sticking with me the more I sit on it: Thorfinn doesn't have the right or the clout to simply decide for all the colonists that they're going to just pack up and leave - and he knows it. The colonists aren't going to leave, not barring something very dramatic. And just on a thematic, emotional level, I don't think that Yukimura is going to write a story about the colonists and the Lnu just slaughtering each other en masse. So I think we're going to pull up to some extent before we hit bottom here.

No damn idea how tho.

please Yukimura-sensei! go Saguenay route!

Thorfinn might want peace, but native tribe won't since they already take the trouble of gathering in one place. and I have great doubt that any Vinland settler would accept too since they follow all the way to Vinland only to just pack up and leave after back-breaking labor.

Something to keep mind after a number of small to medium scale skirmishes with the indigenous people of Vinland, the real life Norse settlers (including historical Thorfinn and Gudrid and their son Snorri) did eventually just call it quits and abandoned the settlement project and returned to Greenland and Iceland (heck that’s already happened in-story with Leif and his brothers attempts).

I doubt Yukimura is going to have his final arc climax with violence comparable to the previous arcs (in terms of full-scale warfare).

Even if Thorfinn wants to leave would the others goes with him? Doubtful.

The best way is for them to find a cure but that does not seem feasible.

This is very chaotic, there ain't no way they're not going to go to war.

Presumably not nearly as bad as Niskawaji'j's tribe considering how many potential combatants (at least 300 according to Thorfinn) came to the gathering/meeting.
Maybe, but they seem to treat the threat like an existential thing so 300 might be a lot. It's not a sure thing, but it might be that this is all they can muster for a coalition army.

I have a feeling Thorfinn's newborn kid will get dragged into this, and Thorfinn will finally break his code.
