Errrr...wasn't this a gag manga? Like, were we supposed to feel this attached to these characters and actually expect things to get serious between ANY of the girls? This whole premise started with a girl buying a love potion for some sensei or something, and now we're getting scenes straight out of an honest to god romance story? With characters that question their emotions and speak openly to one another, while advancing their relationships. We just had a goofy ghost chapter for god's sake, I was not ready for this.
Also, out of the entire group, the ones that seem to be taken more seriously are the two girls that are kind of "outsiders" to the school scene. The kouhai here is not even going to her school (yet?). And the other girl, the truant, long black haired one has never been part of the group in any way, shape or form.
All the other girls, the ones that were exposed to the love potion, seem to be more standard harem/gag characters that feel like they belong to an entirely different story. That's it, this chapter, along with the ones with the black hair truant student feel like stories that don't really belong to this gag manga. They are a bit too serious, and they show WAY more emotion than any of the other chapters full of LOL moments and crazy situations. Even our MC changes her personality completely when she is facing these two. Gone is the absurd, greedy, proud, hungry-for-attention, girl that will literally do ANYTHING to be the center of attention and get praised and envied by the masses. Instead, we get a girl whose insecurities come to light whenever someone pays real close attention to her, and actually gives her some form off affection. What am I reading? Where is this going? If this gets too serious, I hope it doesn't hurt the rest of the story.
