@tanukihat As an ex-shut in NEET I can tell you that everyday summer vacation is hell. Being locked in a room with the usual going downstairs routine damaged my mental health by a lot, I missed going to school at that point and wished I hadn’t dropped out.

I've been a shut-in NEET for almost 12 years now (left school in 2008), still going strong and loving my 24/7 YouTube videos and manga/anime.
Probably helps that my parents have no problem with me sticking around (they're getting frailer and I handle the bulk of the household chores),
and our house is fully paid off so when the time is right they're gonna sign it over to me. I'm here forever!

I hath been summoned.
Funnily enough, my father passed away a few months after I made that post.

I had to do a lot of growing up very quickly, since I became my mother's emotional rock.
Over the past few years I've been cooking all of our meals, serving her tea when she comes home, helping her sell my dad's old stuff online, helping foot more of the bills, etc.

While it's no longer a case of 24/7 YouTube videos, I'm still relatively comfortable.
I'm still a NEET, but more of a nerfed/matured one I guess?

As for not being active since 2021, I only recently found my way back to the site after it spent AGES blocked in my country.
Got tired of using a VPN to come here and started using Mangakatana instead.
I guess the block got lifted?
