Tbh, the arrow hit Haruka and she will be just fine. I like how the translation here make it seem like she break her sentence when she speak. In addition to her appearance it really suit her elven vibe

They don't really look like bandits.

Can't wait for this to be revealed to be some sad backstory about how they had no alternative and how the noble was involved somehow.
I mean, bandits are just robbers and outlaws that are working together in a gang. Sure some are a bit more organized and have some actual experience, with real life examples often being trained solders abandoned by their nations after a war is over in a random country so they turn to robbing people to survive. Plenty though are simply bands of desperate people who are in a live or die situation. Sad, yes. But in these types of world there doesn't need to be a noble plot for that, simple inequality will make these people form.

in the LN it actually hits her forehead and she doesn't even realize it's an arrow at first, she thinks an acorn landed on her head

Next chapter will be Haruka confronting the harsh reality of this world again. Just like the village massacre.

Weird if i remember she was supposed to be struck by the arrow right in the middle of her forehead.
well if that's what happens in the novel, i can understand the change. i assume the bandits didn't react to the arrow doing nothing to our protag there, so not having a weird scenario would allow it to flow into the fight with bandits better (unless they did realize who they were messing with when the arrow failed)

As far as improvised weapons go, shovels are amazing. Sturdy handles, reach advantage over common one-handers, a thick blade that can be used equally well for thrusting and chopping motions, and wide enough to parry an incoming blade.

It's essentially a small unoptimized poleaxe.
