(also main topic issue aside, i love how the board is like "no chatter/cheating" you'd think they'd be old enough not to be told explicitly not to cheat unless there's been some minor cheating throughout for like homework [since a lot of pages have the stereotypical 'let me copy your homework/notes' type of chara], but other than accidentally looking like you're peeking off of someone else, i doubt anyone else would bother risking to cheat unless they're desperate [although if ur 'desperate' by the time it's exams you're screwed either way])

makes me wonder if we'll meet any actual trans ppl in the story. if not gender non conforming or crossdressers, because dysphoria aside there's some really good makeup and tuck jobs for ppl who look "convincing" without using hrt/surgery/etc

b/c with the 'comedy' tag i'd be expecting at least one throwaway joke/page like "he got to have a female body outta all ppl, i'm jealous" if not some ppl taking advantage of the situation and becoming an 'influencer' that decided to stay that way versus the vid they watched on the person who changed back

Japan does seem to be doing well enough/still having 'traditional' gender roles to where one person can just be a stay at home parent/live in spouse without needing to work ("black" companies aside), but given how her mother is , i wonder if she'd even get any money other than her training to take over the company lifestyle or so

tho, other than just taking advantage of a friendship/transactional relationships, it'd be nice to have some generous friend group or so to cover for each other with issues with food/bills rather than like, some stereotypical shopping spree lol

I feel like this is still missing someone laying out her options for treatments in front of her. It's not like you go straight for the knife in this kind of scenario which seems to be what her and her mother think. There is a whole range of things to do first. She could start by taking puberty blockers for example, which would delay her masculine features from developing. She could take a feminizing hormones on top of that and only then she should consider the GR surgery.
I feel like her mom would probably accept the puberty blockers until she is old enough at the very least and that should easy Rinko's mind a little

That's literally exactly what they're doing lol. Rinko caught magic genderbend disease as the premise but everything aside from that is 100% IRL trans issues. She is, effectively, an AFAB trans woman.

I'm guessing no character in this story actually knows a non-cis trans person because they're stuck in that mindset of "snip snip" which is like, 90s level understanding of trans body issues. A lot of people these days don't even worry about the bottom half without much thought as to the cost or anything. They're just happy being their gender and sex.

My problem is the lack of science in explaining the Sex Change Disorder. If there was an in-depth explanation, using IRL knowledge, of how the Sex Change Disorder works, I wouldn't have a problem with it. As the explanation does not exist, it is something that happens overnight, it breaks my suspension of disbelief when the treatment for the Sex Change Disorder is something completely rooted in IRL knowledge. But that's just me, most people don't seem to have a problem with it, which is totally fine.

Yeah. How serious this work will be depends on this. For example, this could become a kind of metaphor or reflection on a trans theme using gender bender as a loophole.

I'm not entirely sure I understood you correctly, but in this context it's reminiscent of those "science" mangas about fantasy creatures like Demi-chan, in which characters discuss fantasy phenomena as if they exist in real life.

Although other than it being 'random' it would be interesting if it actually affected ppl that rly wanted it (tho depending on their relatives/friend group that might be hard to admit). or maybe a couple/parents who both got affected but still stay together regardless

I think MC was bothered about her body 'reacting' to the other girls, so other than a huge surgery, maybe she can be prescribed like, the opposite of what an ED drug is (imagine if she was in a train and somehow got 'accused' of sexual harassment or so b/c she can't control her physical reactions [tho i know actors use specific underwear in sex scenes so they can cover up erections and such, maybe she can get something similar to that? XP])

i think the author's other work was more or less the same concept but darker/edgier b/c there was some rape scenes and one of the 'girls' who transformed self-harmed/tried to cut off their own breasts
