Bro suffers for 30 chapters, but that bitch gets like 7-8 pages of half hearted bs self obsessed reflection and their relationship is “solved”, whatever that means. And the audacity to call her a complex character, lmfao, shes a self obsessed character with a terrible personality. Nothing complex about that.

This last chapter is just so disgusting, jeez, if i was reading this on a physical copy, id throw it in the trashcan hoping that those poor pages can serve a better purpose after recycling. Eh, don't hate that they ended it here. The main issue was resolved, and extending it would just mean making up more drama for the sake of drama. Honestly, the whole "student council" arc could have been skipped, at times it made it feel like it was a spin-off manga and the main story was his sister's story.

I felt like the premise for this was to set up how the MC sort of exited the classic romcom manga plot and realizing his actual situation would become depressed and emotionally traumatized by the airhead manga characters, but no matter if that's right or wrong the manga itself and shit follow through and stumbled all over, even if you ignore how broken the translations were before the newer uploads.

I don't think it would have ever been a 10/10 but it at least could have been something unique. Disappointing.

Exactly this, I think this is a thing widely missed here. There was a lot of groundwork (with much of it feeling very unintentional) into turning this story into straight played tragedy by deconstructing (gods, what an overused and abused word...) the setup into how it would actually develop without the romcom filter over the story's development. While it might waft a bit misery porn-ish, letting the mc devolve into an actual miserable character and then letting the story evolve from there, whether the direction be happy or sad.

Well, I suspected inconsequential slop and read further to get inconsequential slop. I have only myself to blame.
