Nah, that's not how the Non-Aggression Principle works.Neither reaction is fine (from both sides), one side for not thinking properly what (and how) to reply to questions related to an ongoing issue, and the other side also for just escalating the argument into a fight.
People have the right to self-defense. It is the person who initiates the fight who is wrong, the defender is always morally correct.
Your logic gives advantages to the attacker, and disadvantages the defender. This leads to more attacks being done.
If you want to stop attacks, you must give preferential treatment to the defender, so the attacker has less incentive to attack in the first place.
