Aye. My thought as well. With how much Yajin is wandering the wilderness and encountering nasty creatures, he should be aware of poisons already. I suppose he never considered his human target could be such a tank.Go for the eyes, duh! Also, at this point, I'm surprised that Yajin hasn't even considered coating his dagger with poison.
Poisoned blades are mostly fictional. In the real world, most poisons are not fast acting enough to warrant their use in an active fight, and the logistics of actually using one are awful. First you need something fast-acting, probably a venom, which you have to source yourself. Then you need a way to store it and handle it without risk of getting it on or in you. Then you need to be able to maintain that safe method available to you in battle. Then once you actually do apply it in battle you need to use it quickly so it doesn't wash or wipe off (or degrade from exposure to air/light). And then when you finally get around to using it you still need to get a sufficient dose into the target's bloodstream, which is far more than the little nicks you see in most works, and at which point you've already dealt a significant enough blow to alter the trajectory of the fight anyways.Go for the eyes, duh! One can just cover it in shit or make a paste out of brightest mushrooms they can find. "Posion" doesn't have to kill in next hour and its quite fine if target is dead next week.Poisoned blades are mostly fictional. The author seems to be trying to keep the things not directly related to magic/levels as grounded, so unless Yajin finds some fantastical creature that eases or skips some of these steps of the process I can't really picture it coming up.
4UHe's a big guy
you forgot this is a fiction in which MC was poisoned in chapter 17, slum kids have poisoned daggers: https://mangadex.org/chapter/241cbf73-1c26-4dd0-9bdb-64869a2e5a7f/19, chapter 70 was probably poisoned dagger tooPoisoned blades are mostly fictional.
probably because just never learned how to coat weapons with poisons that will last long enough to be effective (most modern survivalists don't learn this) - because he never learned from an actual poisoned assassin,I'm surprised that Yajin hasn't even considered coating his dagger with poison.
The other guy is either at a higher level, or is wearing some sort of body armour undeneath his clothes, making him far more durable. Honestly, considering Hugo's feat of strengths, I think he's higher level. Consider also that he detected Yajin, who is quite good at stealth, and then moved quickly enough to dodge a knife stab aimed at the back of his neck. It's the juggernaut, bitch!
Yajin is what, a tier-4 now? Trapped at level 25? Is this guy also trapped at 25, and just a massive brick shithouse? Or is he a higher tier too?
The normal plan for big guys is to take out the legs. Tendon cuts, or break the knees. I wonder if that's not feasible when superhumans are involved.
This is a fantasy world, you're trying to use real life logic in a fantasy world setting. As much as "real life" like grounding the mangaka is trying to do, the world is still so very inherently different than ours. Not to mention, the assassin girl that Yajin killed was using a poisoned dagger, or the implication was that she was. Seems to indicate that it's a real thing to use.Poisoned blades are mostly fictional.
