I said it a long while back, but Aria is how you do a female MC right. Hell, she's how you do a MC period right. She has to fight tooth and nail to improve and is always on the verge of death when she wins. She's almost never in fights where her victory is guaranteed always fighting those who are on paper above her.
Power fantasies are fun in their own rights but I'll love to see more MCs like her who barely scrape a victory or nearly escape death through defeat.

I appreciate the grind and the fact that she herself realize that she's unreasonable. Self awareness is rare.

Even if she was actually 12, I'll still be giving those guys the side-eye. Pretty? Sure, she is a otome heroine afterall. But I'll much MUCH rather those who are interested in her remain to be the guys (and one confused girl) who are actually in her age group. Having said that, I miss the dark skin mommy maid......

They are more tools than weapons. She rarely throw them at opponents meaning to kill with them and is actually use as a weight for the wire (hair? I can't remember what she's using) or feint. Hell even the smith called them tools.
That being said, The hook one I would make a bit longer so that it has more length to bite into something, the slashing one.....umm...yeah I can't think of a single use for that like they saw a chakram and went "that looks cool, gonna use that design", the good ol' kunai better designs exists but it still gets the job done, the weighted one.....there's 0 reasons for it to be cross shaped and not just a solid piece
Just use 100 words to basically say "You're right but also no."

It might be explained next chapter, but it's mostly likely skipped since it was explained in this scene from the novel. Also might've been mentioned when she went back to and was using the spare weapon before dealing with the orcs but I forget.

Aria's 2 main weapons the dagger and knife are designed

around the use of battle skills. That knife shown this chapter is based off the short sword/dagger battle skill 2 and 3 which are slashing based attacks. The knife is curvy to emphasize that. The replacement dagger being used is for the battle skill lvl 1 and lvl 4 attacks which are thrusts. That's why the blacksmith says the two weapons are a pair, because they are meant to be used for their respective battle skills.

As for the sword catcher . . .

Even if 2 people have the same weapon skills, the way they use the weapons differs. For example, Willow uses only 1 shortsword, and prefers having his offhand for throwing weapons, bombs, potions, shield, etc. Aria also starts off this way, initially using only the knife and throwing daggers, powder bombs, pendulums from her offhand. But in the last arc against the assassins, she also launches projectiles from her shadow storage. In the future, she develops her shadow magic and string control skills that she can use both from the storage. That means she can swap to dual wielding both dagger and knife while her storage becomes that new utility. She still swaps between fighting styles, but either way works for catching the opponent's weapon with the sword catcher or parry then using her other hand or storage to attack.
