The reason why it’s a threat on behalf of the elves is because the implication is that he can do that except inside the city. The actual generation of the mountain is a faux, “Oh hello Zweeden, we heard that you wanted some help with the war effort! We made your city more defensible!” whereas the subtext is, “I just reshaped the earth itself. If I wanted to I can open the earth beneath your feet, swallowing your insignificant city whole. Do not fucking mess with me.”

Now that's really clever if you think about it. He can make it clear to Zweeden what the elves are truly capable of, and at the same time, avoid the possible repercussion to the elves by using the "war aid" excuse.

He just change the terrain like it was nothing. Is he a literal god now?

Jokes aside, I don't get why putting up mountains around their capital is suppose to "warn" them.
More like, dude, you're doing them a favor by turning their city into a fortress instead.

Yeah sure there's only one entrance, but at least it creates a choke point where they can concentrate all of their defenses in one spot instead of being too dispersed around the capital. The Zweeden king must be cumming his pants in joy right now.
A choke point works both ways, others can literally cut off their supply and they can't do shit about it.

My morbid curiosity wants to see what aesir will do if a human nation openly attacks and enslaves elves. Will he unleash the full wrath of the spirits or will he act like those spineless cowards in every isekai that are undecisive when push comes to shove? Just a food for thought since aesir is not some shortsighted innocent idiot nor is he a power tripping bastard brazenly swinging his dick around
We’ll likely see him do what he did last time. Widespread earthquake, and maybe creating mountains around some army encampments and cities.
He’s very careful not to harm civilians, but at the same time making the entire populace realize that their leaders fucked up and if they don’t execute the guilty nobles themselves and the elves have to do it, then the targeting won’t be so precise and accurate the next time.
Just like Ludria.
Because like Aesir said to himself, a genocide can be forgotten in a few generations, but real change has to be driven into the very foundation of a national identity.

Why do I feel like something terrible is going to happen while he travels to his next objective?

Thatcs sort of the looming theme in this manga. Anywhere he goes or comes back too could have changed dramatically for better or worse. zweeden getting a mountain range might suddenly become a neutral financial hub of the continent or might attack the elves in a few generations.

Who can tell? Definitely not Aesir

There's a big difference between having built and designed around natural fortifications and waking up to have a new mountain chain surrounding you. Sure in the future, the capital will be quite hard to assault, but right now the whole infrastructural and logistical system of the city was completely shattered.
Essentially imagine waking up inside a new house, but you lack the keys and the doors are locked, even from the inside.

Or you know...raise the mountains OVER the city and bury it forever.
With that much power in his hands, Aesir is really trying to put a light touch on things so that Elves don't become some sort of boogeyman.

Ah it always nice to be reminded just how much Irena did foe the world. In the end it will be like that Acer himself will probaly just fade away as a myth eventually but Irena will always be remebered as the one who rly kickstartede the Caravan. As it should be like he said high elves just to strong for their own good outside the forest as we will probaly see more off with Acer later lmao
