From the last page it looks like the demon is possessing the Princess and using the disguise to start the war. The real Princess is the one saying that cry for help at the end.

Hm, apparently their website is already up to chapter 18, but 17 and 18 each cost 100 "coins" to unlock, and it seems like they won't even tell you how much real money that translates to unless you make an account.

Because this is perfect for the demons… the humans will just kill each others. If the demons attacked during that time, the two kingdoms might actually try for a truce, and the demon probably only got the princess in control, so if the princess would say something like “attack only the other country, ignore the demons“ to the soldiers, there WOULD be a rebellion. And if she doesn’t say it, well… soldiers of both sides would attack the demons anyway. So it’s better for the demons to let the war go on, and then swoop in and finish off the winners after… cause we all know, everyone lose in a war, the “winner” is really just losing less.

Since it seems he was thinking the ones who were wanting a war were being controlled be the demons even before basically confirming the princess was one, then it seems like the demons goal is to have the humans fight and likely want a slaughter. Now that their goal is basically achieved, the demons can sit back and wait. The plan seems likely to be basically to weaken the humans so they can clean up.
