Demon lord fit too perfectly into his fetish for damsel in distress and he broke through in that first chapter. Also he didn't use the sword much and it wasn't out of its sheath much so he might not have gotten much exposure.

This whole end part where "just forgive and move on" is where I'm holding out hope. Even if he was misunderstood that doesn't mean he has to be forgiven by Nanami, she can hear about this and be understanding of his position but still want to not see him again.

Her gloves are so small... Novel had her hands and forearms all completely scarred and her wearing gloves/sleeves in order to cover it all the time. Any manga only readers just know that her scars were originally much worse.

The last couple pages are where he is getting a bit creative, figuring out how to sound like a greedy jerk but also making sure he gets the message across that he doesn't want people dead.

Their dynamic is giving off guardian + child vibes rather than anything romantic

Strange no but quite a few liked her design better with them (and I personally think it would've been stronger as him being okay with the tattoos and the scars she has and at least having that moment before healing and cleansing it all)

I thought the plan was for her to use up all her mana to make it so she could load and then eat so she is ready to go for the next thing. Death is inevitable and trying to make the death happen later would be counterproductive

Ah so she forgot about what happened when she left her village If we get her point of view it's prob going to cut off when she says she will go with, from there she wasn't listening to conversation anymore but rather deciding what to bring, what she needs to do etc.
