Tbh, I'd think a succubus would have a hard time grasping the idea of aro/ace people.

I'd imagine they'd be 'coached' if not their own aura just naturally drawing ppl to them as opposed to targeting/stalking a random stranger in their home to where they wouldn't luck out on taking their energy but yeah

tbh I do kind of agree with Riri here to a certain extent, using your best friends feelings to sound out your own sexuality/feelings is definitely taking advantage, especially when you aren't upfront about the way you feel. Of course, I have no doubt that coming to terms with being ace is difficult (as it is with coming to terms with queerness in general) but there are surely better ways that don't use other people like this.

edit: I think this is extra true in light of the fact that Luna should have known about Mai's naivety/niceness problem, expecting her to just be okay staying in contact as friends without any real explanation or discussion is honestly really mean.

That's why Riri is my absolute goat. Mai is too sweet for her own good, she never would've confronted Luna about using her and hurting her only for the sake of experimenting with her sexuality -or lack thereof-, instead she was instantly thinking of her as a victim somehow. Yeah, you got invited to mixers a lot. How rough.

I think it's rather harsh to portray Luna as "using" Mai, rather than her wanting to have a normal romantic relationship where she can fall in love too. It's made pretty clear that Luna was hoping for their relationship to make her feel something in return, but she didn't, because she's (probably) aro/ace.

It's not that she used her, it's that she came to realize that their relationship couldn't be the way either of them imagined it, because Luna couldn't fall in love.

I find it really disingenuous to act like Luna was doing something wrong or being malicious when she wanted to fall in love and have a proper relationship with someone. Relationships don't always work out the way you want them to, and in this case especially, neither of them are at fault. Just because Luna couldn't feel the same way doesn't mean she used Mai.

I don't actually think Riri means "devilish" as an insult. I mean, Riri is literally a devil lol.

Keep in mind, Luna has been told her whole life that she's cold and unfeeling, like a doll or something. Riri is saying the opposite: that Luna is highly emotional and passionate, that her strong desires are precisely why she wanted to stay friends with Mai post-breakup instead of just cutting her off. Of course it is true Luna was taking advantage of Mai, I think Riri means that, but I also think this is Riri's way of trying to build a connection with Luna: "you and I are similar, we're both selfish and put our own needs and desires first, and that's okay."

To a certain degree, I do agree with Riri. She broke up with Mai and still tried to hang out with her without really explaining her situation. Mai, as a nice person can only accept and suffer while wondering the real reason why they broke up tbh
