Good call. Michael needed to be removed. With what he'd done he'd have been a constant threat to the Ark family on the throne.
This surely won't be the last we'd seen of him and he'll remain an antagonist, but with a lot less power than he could have had.

I'm glad they resolved the mandatory isekai tournament arc in a single chapter. I heard something about an academy arc but this author has done pretty well at subverting tropes. I do hope the mc struggles a bit he's not overpowered in the normal sense but he seems to be gliding through issues fairly simply so far.

Make a new one (with a concubine if needed), or adopt one, or have the daughter become one, or marry away the daughter and have the husband become one, or cede the throne to another (usually still family, such as a brother with kids), or etc.

While he was reluctant, seems he decided on the "marry away the princess" route, giving the power to the husband. This is a way to set precedent that power-hungry nobles can marry a princess and assassinate all male heirs, to become king. Or that if no king (or at least male heirs) remains, you should do everything in your power to marry the princess - even if that means spiked alcohol + a shotgun wedding.

It did no such thing. The prince committed a crime, and was punished. Absolute at no time requested to be made King or Prince Consort with her as Queen. The king just made the decision that doing so would benefit his country most, since losing the support of Absolute's family would end his family's reign either way.

Doing this, his blood remains in charge of the kingdom which is what all royals want, and his daughter gets the most powerful family backing her and keeping the other noble families in check. If the prince had not on his own committed a crime, it would not have worked out this way.
