@Squizzy44: I take you also aren't a friend of harem stories. Harem Mangas are in general low quality. To maintain the relationships between the protagonists you have to spend way to many panels on harem interaction, which lowers the quality of the "main" adventure. The maintained quality of the harem itself...is also low quality, because no matter how many panels you spend, the setup is way to unrealistic and boring. If I want porn I search the internet. More t1ts'n'a$$ and action without censoring. If I want feelings, I definitively won't find nor look for them in harem stories. It's such a bad system, just burning through mangakas to fuel itself. (On the bright side you do have a lot manga magazines and mangakas can make a money for living. But in the end you end up with a lot of trash.) And for what? Either the MC decides on one character and burns the harem (better ending) or you end up with the harem ending, which in most cases is an open end. *ewww*

Berserk has a good harem. The loli witch, how doesn't stand a chance, because Guts isn't in little children (so her crush is cute and not that creepy), the former crusader chick and now witch apprentice, that came too late, and Casca, guts real and only love interest. The scenario is is realistic in hindsight of the constellation, the characters flashed out. Their struggles aren't just about appealing to the MC. Wonderful. Midori on hibi. The harem consist mainly of two girls. Story spoiler:

It also ends with one of the wholesomest heartbreaks for one of the girls in mangas ever. Sooo good.

So, if there is a unreviewed web novel and a "professional" manga adaptation, the editor in charge told the author or mangaka to dumb down Charlotte to make her more appealing? Good job!

And that's why most of the time i prefer WN to LN.
While the large majority of them is absolute garbage, the best of them are not limited by the market, so that one can experience at least a bit of originality, or not have a character dumbed down because that way "it sells better".

In the WN she was more annoying with her "I'm unworthy" personality, and her airheadness is the same so far but mostly she is just teasing MC, she knows he is innocent. The part about the telling each other their feelings was sooooo slow and frustrating it took 20 web chapters if not more and then they didn't talk much about it afterwards so I'm hoping LN changed it for better.

Male normal friend was a change I didn't expect but as it's been shown so far she isn't interested on MC besides wanting to learn.

alright im dropping the series. The author is actually pitiful. He probably hasn't talked with a girl in a long ass time because the girls in this story are horribly created. they are useless, stupid, annoying, and not cute in anyway. The main character is also pretty autistic but that's a given for these isekais.
