I thought Anna became the new Saintess after the Cursed Sword was purified and returned to her.

Or was there a revision of the Web Novel based on the Light Novel?

No idea about revision (Although I bought the LNs, I haven't really tried reading them, just bought to support the author.)

I don't really remember anything of the cursed sword being purified, not sure if it ever returns anyway, and that there were in total 2 swords: The Cursed Sword and Allen's gift sword.

I remember that each of them had different skills: Ana has Ice and Knight skills, the Cursed Sword required the Knight skill but I can't remember what it gifted, Allen's sword also requires the Knight skill, but the user could use Wind Skills.

I could be mixing up a completely separate novel. I remember that the "staff" that chooses the saintess didn't had that skill, it merely boosted one's own nature or something like that, thus, Amy became a witch, and Ana ends up with the Holy Ice attribute as the real saintess, which I remember her using to encase townspeople into them, I think Allen was surprised that she had killed them, but she then removes the ice, everyone is alive and the brainwash was gone.

I do also remember that, in that event, it was Ramslett going to Centralen, not the current center to Ramslett, so my mind is trying to connect those vague dots with the old story, and what sounds natural is that there will be another war.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (It's also been a long time since I finished the WN), but here's some additional info from what I remember:

Iirc they would try negotiating with the five. But for some reason, Allen hesitates and Amy and her entourage ended up escaping injuring Allen in the process while one of the guys also ends up injured then died(?). Amy would then turn into a witch when they get back to Central country. From what I remember as well, only the prince will survive at the end because his brainwashing will be removed and he'll stop fighting while the other guys will die in the final battle.

Afterwards, Allen then goes in a coma(?) and it will be a reversal of Ana's situation where she's the one who will go on a quest to wake up Allen. She does end up as the saint because of the staff though.

As for the war, it's a full on war with multiple countries and the country where Allen rescued Ana (the one where he killed a prince) will actually try to invade the Central country again but will fail. At this point Amy is a full-on Witch (and she still believes shes a saint), she ends up brainwashing the entire Central country including civilians to fight the war. The Ramsletts would ally with the other countries because the brainwashed Central army were way too strong for one country to beat.

There's still a lot of stuff that will happen at this point and all I can say is that Amy will get even more insufferable. Probably just as bad if not worse than Pina lol.

Now that you mention it, yeah, they escaped, and one of the targets die for them to escape. I vaguely remember Amy realizing that only the game didn't turn her invincible, she came to realize that they could die for real, and that changed all her views, raising her despair which turned her into a Witch.

So I guess my memory of Allen shooting someone was not the prince.

I don't really remember about the joining of countries and Central being too strong, all I remember is that they were fully unified, since Amy brainwashed everyone pretty much with her new powers.

As you mention, the Kingdom was at war against another country, and now they are being counter attacked by those guys and Ramsllet, and my impression is that it was kinda like Germany at the end of WW2: Multiple enemies invade and try to get whatever they can get, although I think that the King didn't die, nor the Kingdom fell in the end, but they were pretty done after that.

I think that they will be returned and not killed, but I think Allen will get Amy's staff thing in return.

While Amy is turned into a Witch, Ana becomes the new Saintess thanks to the staff, and once the war is triggered again (because the 5 survive), she uses her Holy Ice to clean the brainwashing.

That's where the killing of some (or all) of the brainwashed guys start, cause I'm pretty sure the Prince is shot by Allen.

While they were captured while trying to invade Ramslett territory, I'm pretty sure more stuff happens when the war spreads to the Centralen Kingdom and even the civilians end up joining, which will require a through brainwashing cleaning.

Yup.... but still its close to the end sadly
