Comments threads for chapters should be created from $uploaderuser not MangaDe [Rejected]

ATM the comment thread for any uploaded chapter is started by MangaDex user.

If the comment thread would be started by the uploader user then users can show their appreciation by throwing likes, dislikes and other emoji directly at the uploader (and MangaDex can no longer farm cheap updoots).

I understand what your intent is, but the uploader isn't always someone who worked on an upload or even part of the group. Would it really be fair for some random to farm internet points off of someone else's work.

Also we don’t want people to « own » comment threads (nor the opening message). Otherwise they could edit/delete it, which isn’t ok.

The current setup was made on purpose and won’t change.

Though a button/s to send some simps directly to the uploader would be nice anyway.

Not always the uploader is the one who did the TL, but nevertheless they bothered to do the upload, so they can have a share of updoots. fishes for thought

Yeah we understand that part of it. But it remains a problem because uploader and scanlator are not necessarily the same, and we want to always clearly credit the scanlator. So having the uploader any more lauded than currently is inappropriate in our view (despite us being very much appreciative of uploaders in general!).
