@twinklecake I believe there's a unique rule in play here.

Leo originally has 1/1, but with +3/+3 becomes a 4/4. I think the wolf was the same, so when Leo "rides" the wolf (unique mechanic?), their stats get added together, making 8/8.

interesting. Funny to think about what you would become if you became the embodiment of your favorite mtg deck, i would become... probably a Sliver Overlord. Green/white focused with splashes of the other 3. I would become OP so quickly lol.

@MoonHermit That actually implies even more OP things if you think about it. I mean, a full-army +3/+3 buff costs only 3 mana. What else is there that you get to double like this? The riding mechanism isn't even on the card, so any rider-like creature should be able to mechanically gattai with any mount-like creature. Just get guys that summon token creatures when entering the battlefield and a whole bunch of army enchantments and you're pretty much golden against most decks without too many further adjustments.

I play 2 decks: White Weenie with a single powerful Angel (which is invariably female) and Boros Aggro, whose ace is....Winota 😂

thou... depending on the lore, i think angels, while looking female dont have reproductive organs at all. so maybe i would be better off in that department? lol
