More like her desires pushed to obssession. To gain power to get what she wants she killed her siblings. The thing to note is that the princess normally gets the hero. She had no need to kill her siblings. Even if she wanted power to do as she wants she has that authority in the first place.

As for him not helping Theodora with her mom problem, I see two points:
1. Raoul isn't a guardian. And just because he helped her once (with the demon suitors) doesn't obligate him to help her further. I think that helping him even once was a bit out of character for him.
2. If Theodora is going to step up and lead, then she needs to take care of stuff on her own. < That's the point that I made earlier.

Re: #1 Like for another instance, allowed Theodora to fulfill her vengeance to kill that pedophile who raped her, it was to stop demon children kidnapping in the kingdom.

To be fair, Theodora stepmom is on whole another level than her, Raul probably gonna intervene since she already found out about daughters goals. You don't start to play chess with a Kasparov on day one and expect to win.
