The amount of mald in comments because MC has self-improvement hobbies and is, while yes friendless (at the start of the school year no less while also being an otaku which he may think as a negative quality to friend-making, decidedly not a gloomy loner about it is quite hilarious.

Being a gym rat doesn't automatically make you an outgoing person, being good at singing doesn't make you an outgoing person, putting effort into your hobbies and things you like or want to do (whether it's dressing up his game chars or doing nails or drawing or whatever) doesn't make you an outgoing person either. Sure it might build confidence, which he has, but it doesn't mean you're putting yourself out there and looking for new people - specially in the age bracket he is where first impressions are big and he does seem to identify mainly as an otaku which is mostly viewed negatively as well.

Calling him a rizz god is also hilarious because he's not even trying to rizz. He's just a nice guy confident in himself and doesn't shy away other than close contact. Which is very much how it works in real life, what a surprise huh?

The problem is that we are 8 chapters in, and this guy is just casually ripped, and great at everything that just so happens to align with what the girls want, and he does it better than them, and he manages to keep up with all of it, and then everyone just comes to him instead of the other way around.

There is no self improvement or evolution or learning necessary if you start out mostly perfect, and the stars align in the things you aren't fantastic at.

It's like those trashy stories where the loser MC just so happens to grab the attention of the perfect school idol beauty by being a completely normal person, but this author would make him good at everything not even 10 chapters in.

So yes, an otaku going into fitness mode after watching the dumbell anime is actualy totally normal and a good joke setup in my book

Because the story is about subverting expectations rather than being just another classic edgy/loner/gloomy/pickwhatever self-insert piece. It's not about improving himself but others improving themselves by realizing that not only is it alright to be slightly different but you may also have positive qualities being overlooked just because you focus on the negative facets.

Not sure where the idea he has no flaws comes from. Dude's good at his very specific hobbies and doesn't put time into much else. If there weren't any of the girls involved in this he'd just be a dude who has a collection of figures who works out on the side.
