It actually doesn’t help to dig stone with an axe in minecraft right? Over just punching it.

Tho in this case i reckon it’s because MC can’t just punch the stone, and an axe is more versatile than a pick.

I'll say it again- while there are some minecraft-like elements, the game the crafting and other elements that are part of his being brought into the world takes most of its cues from is 7 Days To Die (7DTD/7D), like the blood moon that frenzied the Gizma and had them attack, or a lot of the more complicated crafting recipes (basic crafting is pretty much the same between them). In that game, any tool, no matter what, is better than your fist, and there's some materials you outright can't gather with your fist, like stone and brickwork, which this is. The Stone Axe, more specifically, is the beginner's default gathering/crafting tool, and as the description says, is "useful for cutting wood, mining stone, repairing & upgrading walls, doors & windows". It's commonly kept around even into late game because repairing and upgrading blocks consumes tool durability, so it gets used for that purpose over a more expensive tool that takes much harder to get/make resources to repair, as the Stone Axe only takes a single Small Stone.

And to address the elephant in the room, yes, obviously 7DTD takes a lot of cues from Minecraft which takes its cues from other similar survival-craft games, likely going all the way back to Unreal World's original development in '92, and in various tabletop games before that (including D&D). Minecraft was just what made the genre popular with a more recent generation, but its had its adherents long before that; not everything survival-crafting is Minecraft.

Yes and no. Yes, the slimes are mildly acidic, but no, they're not "thinking of Gels/Puddings"; Slimes vary depending on the world and creator, and "Gels/Puddings" vary as well. In fact, they're more often depicted as being acidic monsters, to boot (Final Fantasy's Flan family of monsters, for example).

personally, if i was him i would take me som time to rob them blind, mine around underground and raid their resources, then hollow out the ground under their walls, if i manage to get enough materials for tons of tnt, fill the void under the walls and set it all off, also set off some tnt under teh castle and garrisons as well, not to much, dont want to many civilian cassualties, just enough to collapse the buildings inwards on top of itself.
and with all of their resources stolen its only a matter of time before the entire kingdom collapse on itself.

Remember that this is the beastman kingdom's capital which the holy kingdom's army is occupying. They're trying to take it back, not destroy it.

Actually, the other respondent was correct; these slime girls are acidic (but can control the acidity), and so dissolve any such contaminants down to their constituent parts, and can cleanly excrete any waste that goes beyond that capacity.

Ok fine, so no collar but still, it completely destroys my immersion when the villain in a story is so fuckin stupid that they couldn't possibly persist in the given scenario. How did this faction not cease to exist long ago?

They already saw what the Demi Humans can do with the help of his ability and were warned about him as well yet they just stick him in a cell and leave? Talk about suspension of disbelief. If they have no way of controlling him they should've just lopped his head off, maybe take his eyes-side, break his knee-caps or maybe just maybe put a guard in front of his cell? At the very least?

This development raised the interest of quite a few readers judging by the comments under the last chapter and now the author just scraps it...

What people hear and see are different things.

Take the story from Bibles or Quran for example, Moses splitting the sea, Jesus revived after 3 days and Muhammad is on the moon. For non believers, it just right out of a fairy tale. Same thing can be applied here.

So, it's no different for anyone in holy kingdom doesn't believe in his ability even a fort commander thinks that they are using elven large scale explosion magic.

He is also probably the only being that have no mana other than another isekaied person. This world also doesn't seems to have anyone with appraisal or inspection magic.
