To be fair, it was one guy and the entire rest of them immediately reprimanded him and told him to back off.

I like the way you think.

Volume 11. Went to the publisher's site and checked the sample for volume 10 and this was the table of contents, showing that 51 is not in this volume. Also, Volume 10 released 2025.03.14 (digital 2025.03.12), so I doubt that Vol. 11 is out yet.... Ah, and checking at Futabasha, it's not set to release until 2025.09.12, with the digital release coming out 4 days earlier on 2025.09.08.

Something tells me that the teacher who went batshit on him, wasn't one of the best teachers. if he is borderline abusive to him how isn't he to the other students? the other teachers thank goodness did step in to stop that asshole but i hope they will TALK to him or even punish him for almost strangling a student.
yes they can't get back to Japan but no excuse to be borderline abusive about it.

Well i hope the next chapter will give us more info how it is going.

well shit, mc is going to play mind games with her.

I can imagine the torture of her not knowing if she is really herself or just a familiar with the memories of her previous life (ignoring the fact that thinking and feeling that is a giveaway)

now how is the rest of the students going to react to the news? probably the same as that teach, they already blamed him before so...

I heavily disagree, he actually could kill her and make her a familiar. Telling her she is one means that she will think its outside her control. Rather it would be more brutal to tell her he can, maybe do so to one of her knights in front of her. Then make it clear to her, he is letting her remain her for now, but can and will make her a familiar if she goes against him.
This would make it her choice to follow in order to avoid being personally punished vs right now she will make a excuse that she is controlled and shift blame for actions.
I forget, was it established that he can resurrect humans as familiars and they keep their regular human form. Cause I don't remember kento having any full blown human familiar (then again, it's been quite awhile since i read early chapters).

Talk about an extremely disappointing and boring turn of events. The ol'predictable and boring Japanese trope of the goody two shoes, MC who won't kill the person who:
1)performed a banned ritual intentionally modified by her so it would summon children with the intention of enslaving them and using them as her personal slave army. Knowing very well she would be stranding them in her world permanently .
2) Instructed her men to mentally and physically torture said children to terrify them into obedience, and even instilled into her men the notion that the children are less than human so all mistreatment is ok.
3)Singled out one individual from said children and ordered his slow and torturous execution via starvation, in order to further manipulate the others through fear of being next.
4)When the children naturally reacted negatively at his execution, the order she gave wads, "send them to fight deadly monsters", to terrify them.
And most importantly
5)SHE LITTERALY SENT THE MC TO BE EATEN ALIVE BY MONSTERS, FOR THE "SIN" OF NOT HAVING POWERS.

As for the silly and weak argument of having the princess in control to "increase" the amount of reparations, it's weak and unfeasible.
It has been long established that the kingdom is on the verge of ruin, economically and in other aspects due to mismanagement.
Plus there is still the threat of the empire who is planning to invade her kingdom anyway (you know, the very reason she summoned the children in the first place).
So, putting her in power does fuck all to assist in larger reparations.
It will only make things more complicated when the MC will have to go to war against the invading empire in order to protect his completely useless "investment" on her.

He could just kill her, torture her, give her to his classmates to take out their justified frustrations on her.
And just send his familiar to loot the royal family's coffers and valuables that would secure more than enough in "reparations" for his classmates to live like nobles for the rest of their lives.

But...nope Japanese tropes...

If this is the route he's going to take, not offing the princess is the right choice. If he decided to kill her and use necromancy to revive her as familiar, there is a chance that someone might find this out later.
By using deception instead, there is nothing to be detected on the princess. And he could easily keep here under surveillance.

rereading the series, i can kinda make more sense of the current situation. Currently basically everyone that isn't on the protags side roots for the princess, so taking her out now so suddenly would be a problem, especially with the whole fact they are supposedly stuck in this world without the ability to go home (if done in secret, it'd result in the other royalty going in power which will probably affect the town MC and gang are in, and honestly probably wouldn't give protag the relief he wants from the situation). Social politics do just be like that, and protag wants to live in this society.
It is stupid he doesn't like, leave a familiar to guard her, cause it wouldn't be that bad to at least make his presence known vs telling her to keep it a secret. It's not like there's no suspicions of who's causing her problems.
I also highly doubt she'd rat him out anytime soon now that I've re-seen her reaction to our MC. She knows the problem of the demon king so is very likely to not ever be on his bad side (read how fast she immediately folds when she sees MC).

My only hope is that the story actually does showcase some sort of benefit to keeping her alive to at least make it known that these aspects are there. Like, even have her ascend the thrown and properly ally with the town protag is in, esp since he has said it outright that he wants to stay in this world.

damnit, I binged this and already caught up.

this is worse than eating an icecream cone only to find out its empty on the inside.

anyways, I can see why she treated these chumps like total shit. she saw them as an extremely dangerous weapon that should be disposed as soon as possible.

regarding using necromancy on her, I don't think there's much of a mystery. he already has three human corpses, just without any flesh

Sheesh... they really are incapable of breaking out of the japanese society mould and accept they're not in Kansas anymore, can't they? The Entitlement.... It's Real™
What're they going to do? Write a Sternly Worded Letter of Disapproval?

Also... Good idea to assault the Messenger who happens to control several pocket nukes. Really good idea...
I've read recently that only 7% of the Japanese pop have a passport. Almost nobody leaves the country. Either because the yen is not strong enough abroad, or because they are xenophobic and see other cultures as "inferior". So it does make sense how some people would not want to adapt to a foreign culture. Let alone a different world. =/

hard contrast.

I mean, kind of. The skeletons are former humans, and they didn't change forms at first, they were already decomposed and skeletons. They even kept their memories. From what I can see they change form to repair the body and if he merged multiple parts. He also seems to have a two types of revives, resurrection and a more alchemical create life using the body. But humans are clearly valid targets, and I would think he could have them keep their forms.

He is tricking her into thinking he killed her and revived her using necromancy. Kento is a necromancer.

The thing is... Kento has certain feelings towards her. Kento's familiars can read his mind and feelings:

If he had killed her, she would come back in a sexy catsuit, and she would be treated better than she's about to be. The current situation is better. There is going to be no doubt who is calling the shots over there.
I am not saying he should kill her, I am saying he should not trick her into thinking she is a familiar, he should scare her into being one.

Up to now... I won´t be angry at him if he just drops everyone back to the princess and goes traveling the world by himself and the undead army

Neither the teachers nor the students have been useful, like they really are dead weight, hope that in the novel they are more useful... also, that one stupid teacher is going to be a problem in the future right?, he looks like he will be a problem in the future, like he and glasses teacher are really resembling the first hero

Oh yeah, changes from the novel:
  • There was a Meisa-chan and Amanda scene between the conversation with the teachers and the orders for the Demon King’s Army. Meisa made wild assumptions about what was wrong (Meisa has terrible intuition).
  • Kento addressed his Army telepathically while Meisa was sleeping cuddled up to him, she sleep talked at the end of the scene. I can see why this was changed so he could emote, and cuz it’d be weird.
Based on the previews, the complete manga chapter 51 covers from the beginning of WN chapter 87 to early WN89. 52.2’s preview shows something exciting: Kento on his way to Earth!

Kento discovers he can shadow portal back to Earth. When Kento talks to a police officer, he is laughed off as a Kento impersonator. Someone had claimed to be Kento, and it took a long time for his dad to verify the identity, causing people to pretend to be Kento as a gag.
f5G1aWE.jpeg

Kento finds out why his father was afraid to face his son: In a newspaper archive he reads about how his mother stabbed his father over the love affair he was having with his secretary, before the mother unalived herself in prison.

So Kento has to come to terms with all that emotionally, interact with Japanese authorities, establish his authority over Lastock and it’s city using his Demon King persona, deal with some romantic drama, and figure out how to get the students home. Along the way he will discover his ambition.
This new arc lasted ~43 web novel chapters (88-131).
Man I'm surprised he doesn't unalive himself or turn himself into a actual demon god destroying both worlds, that's the type of shit that would cause anyone to flip the table and fight everyone around them

Makes me wonder when he will start getting a backbone and start telling people to fuck off about the romance around him, people grabbing his clothes this chapter and others who think its his responsibility to bring them back home and take care of them too :aquadrink:

Things will indeed be tough for Kento, but this arc he will also develop a sanctuary. A place where he is only treated with the upmost respect and admiration. So his hardships won't go unrewarded.
