I don't think this particular manga is doing anything incredible, but it's certainly a smooth experience and of course, Pii-chan cute.

And there is no way the royal family or the FMC's family are going to agree to a re-engagement, not after the public way he broke it off, making it a public spectacle. Idk if its just me but it feels like most of these stories focus on the heroine’s self doubt and subsequent “reactive” events rather than an antagonist going above and beyond… regardless i’m just waiting for romance

Unfortunately, society. She's still repairing her reputation. To reject the (crown?) prince, regardless of their broken engagement would easily be a problem for her. She's the 'bad guy' who hurt an innocent girl to the public. So if the prince is being so kind as to offer his hand, her rejecting it would have been so terrible
