I am betting it will be more a house spirit than a ghost. Either a zashiki-warashi (Japanese yokai) or brownie (western fairy/fey) both take care of houses of well loved homes, play small tricks but overall give luck to the owners, until angered and then they either attack or leave which brings misfortune. Or something like that, maybe the spirit of the house itself, like the Tsukumogami.

Politic and crafting takes so much chapter that I forgot the reason I read this manga in the first place and stay is because of THIS TWO!!!!

I LOVE HOW THEY'RE BASICALLY LIVING IN A HOUSE TOGETHER AND THERE'S NO USUAL shenanigan of being embarrassed, tsundereness, that sexual tension, yet it's not like they have 0 chemistry or devolve as comedic relief partner. I like that kind of couple, one that feel natural being together.

But is that really all that cheap? It's 110 gold a month... and that's with them purchasing the property. Just some napkin math puts that around 6750$ a month or 85000$ in usd.

For perspective, thats like purchasing a mid modle cyber truck every year or a leasing a new home every 5 years... So I'm not sure I would exactly call that cheap. Not that they couldn't afford it, but still that is an obscene ammount of money to be charged monthly for what is essentially just land and rundown buildings.

No clue. Either it's a translation error or the author has a very twisted view on land ownership. I mean there is such a thing as property tax in many countries, but as portrayed this is at best leasing, and at worst some form of a pyramid scheme.

Yeah I dont think it's the tax. When guildmaster was showing them the commoner land, she mentioned the land and property being one package, to which Miyabi concludes that large scale renovation to the property is no go. So, pretty sure they're just renting

Technically think it would be considered leasing the property then. Because their contract allows them to demolish the buildings and alter the land to suit their needs.

Renting OTOH typically doesn't allow the tenants to do much other then minor repairs and maybe a coat of paint.

I have the same question as everyone: What's going on with Karon? Does it have anything to do with all those wind blocks?

Also, I don't like plots that get rushed into because the MC and crew have to make stupid choices. The house has sat vacant for 10 years... what would most ppl do after hearing this? They'd say, "10 years is a long time, why has it been vacant all this time? Is there something wrong with the property?" The fact that they didn't do what EVERYONE ON THE FUKN PLANET WOULD'VE, is a problem with the storytelling and it's believability. That's why plots based on stupid are just that - fukn stupid. They drag the whole project down a grade.
