So the witch is DnD themed huh? What would be her saving throw? I guess something between 16-18. A 18-20 in their stat lol
might be more pathfinder because of the witch class, but I'm not well versed in that game as opposed to dnd.

If she is simply a female enchantment wizard calling herself a witch, then that would also be possible, but unlikely as there would be more to her abilities than what we've seen and what was implied.

For everyone on "can't die" bandwagon i like you to remind of this old and wonderful series:
BAv3jIrX-BhOsZDJ1snHpZbHyl1PO9FyYYULtdKs5PE.png

There is The King unit that must be killed or defended. MC could be fused into one like this.
But its depend on author which way he pull.

@InfinityKiyen Pretty good essay and speculation, really impressive. Sad thing, even if they logical, everything in implementation depend on author. Hope he was thinking all right.
Eh? Why am I in that bandwagon tho?
I'm just interested in which type of scale does Takuto's powers go to compared to the different RTS games.

Because StarCraft/Warcraft are just small battles compared to CIV's Nation/World scale battles.

We've seen small scale battles similar to StarCraft/Warcraft battles, but it probably stems from Takuto being too nice..for now.

I strongly recommend you don't spoiler yourself on this unless you just go read the Light Novel. The way he did it is interesting enough but the way it's revealed is REALLY cool.
I tried looking for the LN and cant find it I guess I wait for next chapter. can I just ask did he use rts mechanic, DND mechanic or neither cuz I want to confirm my own speculation without dulging to deeper

Sorry about this. Simply wanted to remind that there more to RTS games that you expect. There was once golden age of RTS gaming, alas it ended. The one you mentioned/probably aware having big companies behind them for promotion and survival.
But for actual answer its appears (by the comments) CIV type.

Do they dare have the MC be dead, permanently in shade form even from our perspective?

I doubt it, but it'd be a bold move.

I do think he was playing a mobile 4X game...

  • He died (irl) after reaching number 1 on the leaderboards.. which was the most prominent features of those games
  • The Battles are ground based... Even with high speed flying characters, theyre only fast as your entire soldiers, that the entire unit
  • He survive direct attacks... In Mobile 4X, you cannot die..at worst, he is left with a small amount resource (guaranteed amount of resource arent looted, even in total defeat), there is no dying unless he himself gives up/stops playing.
  • He says, he can revive isla thru an event
  • Even Mobile 4X games, have civilization style upgrades but is like ultra fast, you starting up with sticks and if you upgrade those buildings, they become technologically advanced... That explains how he easily gets Guns all of a sudden.

A lot of people are trying to compare the witch to 5e but I think she is not based on that. 5e is not as big there as here. Their biggest ttrpgs are Call of Cthulhu and Sword World, along with a smattering of others. Even for d&ds popularity, barely anyone plays it in Japan and those who do play 3rd edition.

Personally I would guess she is based on Sword World 2.0, however this series might only be using video games rather than tabletalk RPGs. That being said I wouldn't know which exactly -- something like Wizardry, perhaps?

Yeah but since their partner is a DM,
they can fudge the rolls as they like. Brainwashing Atou like that was complete bullshit. I hate this arc in the LN except the end for it is great
