Someone remind me to make a small character so I can travel like this in my next D&/D campaign.
Why small? Low weight so I can store more stuff in the bag. 👀

Rogues normally get "trap sense" and "evasion". No parallel sense, so it may be a mistake on the manga artist, or a homebrew material.

Another Rogue skill I can think of is "Uncanny Dodge", which is supposed to represent an instinct that reacts to danger before Rogue's own senses pick up on it as long as they are not fully immobilized.

There's also "Slippery Mind", but I think that was only for the context of magic?

Pretty sure there's a mistake there, that create food spell can only be level 2 at best, since it's 2 levels for 1 casting levels.
I mean a level 1 can cast level 1 magic, level 3 for 2, level 5 for 3, etc etc.
He was mocked for not being able to use fireball in the previous chapters, because that's a level 3 spell, so he doesn't have the right level.
Erm, my 2 cents from a ttrpg player.

@Doenyon
I can at least confirm that the mistake is on the author's, and not mine as it definitely says that create food and water is level 3 in the raws. As for being able to cast a level 3 spell, all I can say is that when he was level 2 he was casting at least a couple of level 2 spells (locate object, raise lesser undead). So, the author may be playing a bit fast and loose with that aspect

@azhuresky I see, yeah wouldn't be too surprising the author claims to adhere to d&d rules, yet didn't research that too well. :D Thanks for translating this too.

Is parallel sense the amplification (parallel meaning doubled) of senses, so the rocking of the horse is doubled for him? That would make the journey worse imo.

@Dxriea Yeah, there's a pretty good reason a couple of people were trying to figure out what that's actually supposed to be further down the comment section. There just isn't a skill, feat, or class feature with that name that I'm aware of or can even find with Google for D&D, or rogues slightly more generally, that goes by that name?

Like the other people talking about it here, I can come up with some things offhand that could be considered things that might prevent motion sickness if you really want them to, so I would wonder if maybe something weird happened along the way with a translation either from English to Japanese, from Japanese to English for on here, or both. I mean, you ever stick something into Google translate just to translate it back again and get something completely different than what you originally put in? Stuff happens.

Regarding "Parallel Sense", the raw text is "平衡感覚", which is more likely supposed to be "Sense of Balance". I don't think that's in D&D, so it's probably just something the author made up.

The manga tends to conflate class abilities and class skills. Rogues have Balance as a class skill, so I assume that's what he's referring to.

And the trex is level 9. How strong are dinosaurs in this world to overshadow the dragons

It's a level 6 dragon vs 2 level 3s and one level 2.

Unless the armor you're wearing is Iron Man's, no amount of plating will save you if you get properly hit. It's so much better in this case to maximize evasion.
