this is the best kind of godlike MC I've seen.

I'm wondering, did the attack miss the king because it was not a focused one, so it was weakened enough his barried had really been able to deflect it just a bit, or did it miss because just being almost hit would make him so paranoid it would be worse for the king than actually being hit? Especially as he just saw his great barrier's source being cracked almost in two just as he was bragging about its protections.

I love how neither side knows that they exist. Sure the king thinks that the kings of the forest is involved and the MC vaguely knows that someone’s at fault but doesn’t know whose fault. The king himself doesn't cast any curses... He orders them to be made/reinforced using his mages/cursificers. Who are dropping like flies, as far as I can tell...

That bolt didn't miss, it hit the construct they use to maintain/focus the curses.
Which is currently being loaded with curse energy that can't fullfill the conditions of return because, by the wording of the MC, the actual caster may be long dead by natural and quite peaceful causes...

There's a reason why foci in many magical traditions are made from things that are easily destroyed/purified by fire, and making a permanent one is depicted as folly and the cause for the demise of the Evil Overlord/Evil Civilisation in many a legend or fable..

well, now that he expanded the area even more and returned all the curses (again?), this makes me wonder if the king needs to fear any further attacks any longer. unless there's some massive corrupted beast we missed so far.

I think mc have completely return all curse back right because now the stone is dark black color then pure white one with cracks...

from the forest using the mana stone
Also curse to destroy whole central forest while getting protection from barrier and becoming world dominant ruler...
And treating others worse then slave...
They deserve it if it continue next goal in kings mind would have to become God...
So God of that world have send mc ...

it seems to me like everyone was corrupted in some way too.

the way they talked about the slaves was extremelly weird, more than normal fantasy racism. It was as if they really saw the slaves as always being objects - not inferior beings, not beasts, not old enemies that deserve being treated like that, purely objects.
even the one guy they criticized for killing slaves, it seemed more like he was criticized for being wasteful than for any semblance of feeling the knights discussing him have about them either way.

Im hoping the MC completely destroys that red crystal which removes the longevity of the king who than dies, and that kingdom get its come up'ens for destroying and killing the neighboring countries just because they aren't human. All this and he never leaves the forest.
