Honestly, the fact that she cheated is just... I mean, she could have just gone off to be a whore somewhere else and that would be that—the protagonist would be rid of that trash and find a better woman. But the problem is, she went so far as to slander, defame, and humiliate the protagonist, nearly driving him to suicide, all while laughing and fucking like a pig—and she still wanted him as a backup option.

She deserves everything coming to her for being a whore and an ignoramus. Being an idiot comes with a price, and no one escapes that debt. And the real issue is that she just keeps digging herself deeper into the hole.

Of course, I feel sorry for her mother. Imagine your daughter coming home one day and saying: "Look, Mom, I cheated on my boyfriend, slandered him, and nearly drove him to suicide. A real catch, right? And by the way, I cheated on him with a total manwhore."

Nah teachers jumped on the case pretty quickly. (Chapter 4) Even before MC's mother made the calls. The principal (who we later learn knows MC's mom from the neighborhood association) got involved. Hence, they already know the MC and have been looking out for him behind the scenes.
Yes, I said the faculty got on board way before the mother knew. That's my point.

It is also heavily implied those higher up in the school system knew MC's deceased father and owed him a great deal. Oh the son of a man I owe lot too is in trouble. Yeah you drop whatever you were doing and throw hands with whoever is fucking with him.
Where is this implication? The former mayor certainly says something to this effect, but I don't recall any of the teachers even mentioning his father.

Also, if you know anything about your average Japanese school teachers and bullied kids. Yeah they don't go rallying like that for random bullied student 69. You think those teachers would have done the same for that cucked Otaku kid. Maybe telling that class bullying is m'kay now open your books to page 420 of effort.

That kind of teacher rallying against bullying only happens after the suicide and its mostly done to cover their asses/dealing with bad press.
This is why I said that the whole situation looks outlandish, especially since this can't be either the first nor the only current similar incident among the entire student body, yet they act as if that's the case. However, we saw their private conversations and no one even suggested that there's some special reason this particular case needs to be acted upon. That's why I'm saying it makes little sense, as if we're supposed to believe the school was all honky-dory until Kondo showed up.

The MC had way more support behind the scenes then he knows. Even his mother knew something was wrong but held off the calls because she wanted her son to come to her first.

The difference between the MC and Kondo. Kondo knows he has daddy backing him and uses it to throw his weight around. MC also has quite the backing but thinks he is alone.
As I mentioned, I don't think he actually ever realied on daddy to fix anything beyond a playground fight. He seems to think dad is a big deal, but as far as I understand, he's some minor official in the local government structure. Basically a desk monkey. I doubt he could do much if shit really hit the fan and people were unwilling to let it go.

as someone who reads the novel it's because it starts becoming self masturbatory from the author how much he wants to fuck Miyuki over and over. It just got to the point where a lot of us was thinking, ",ok her life is fucked in almost every way can we please just move away from her now and focus on the happy stuff with the MC and heroine." Then the author inserts another Miyuki POV chapter where her life randomly becomes even more worse than even the guy who goes to prison.
Yeah, that part is actually becoming a bit ridiculous. I wish the author would give us more chapters with Eiji and Ai. They're so adorable and, for a manga, quite normal teenagers. :)

I've no idea. I'm not Japanese and all I know about their culture is second-hand. What I can tell you is that there's a lot of assumptions made by the characters that are silly from the perspective of someone older. Like Miyuki's "there's no going back from this!", yes there is. Even if what she did becomes public knowledge among other students, she's not going to live the rest of her life among them and there's plenty of life in front of her if she can stop being destructive both to herself and others. The same goes for Kondo. In general, the idea of having a raging duchebag's life permanently ruined, like the teacher suggests with his "road to hell" speech might be satisfying revenge porn, but it's fundamentally incompatible with how society is supposed to work. Punishing someone, especially a kid is supposed to educate and re-socialize, otherwise there'd be no reason to let anyone who wronged other people live. It's the reason even Japan has people's criminal records vanish after several years of no run-ins with the law.

Frankly, from a IRL perspective, getting juvie for battery with minor injuries and resisting arrest as a minor sounds absolutely unbelievable, even if you ignore the politician father. It's gounds for wardship and once the whole sordid story reaches the court, mandatory sessions with mental health specialists, but no way would he get juvie, especially as a first offence. Maybe if many witnesses came forward and testified that he basically lead a gang that harrased and victimized many of the students over time... But that would be very much stretching the truth, since he wouldn't have his "good boy" reputation if that were the case. This would also be the point at which the school would be asked "what the hell were you doing, letting such a racket run for so long then?".
The Slander made it worse, not to mention because of his stupid father's actions, his political party threw him under the bus, so maybe the ROUGHER

Plus it's japan, got to look up how their laws on thing work, maybe that had a factor! I've done it before and it's amusing to see how shit is different in the case of charges over there compared to here in the US where i live!

All that can be said is that's the perspective. Some parts ARE fantasy for sure, but if you can't get into the mindset of the writer then it's hard to understand the story and it will "not be for you" that's how I see it any how! And I've read ALOT of "Conservative fantasy fiction" (The REALLY out there ones, I'm more neutral political wise, but it's FUNNY reading some ACTUAL Alt-Right/Far Left Fiction" I'll tell ya what LOL)

Well, from what I was able to find, you might be right. Unlike in most of the world, it seems defamation is both a civil and criminal offense in Japan, so it can be factored into whatever sanctions he'd get, provided it's prosecuted as criminal (which apparently it rarely is). Still seems highly unlikely it would end in juvie on a first offense, I think this is just part of the "revenge porn" part of the story, but I suppose it's not impossible.

I'm not saying it's not for me. I'm still reading it, after all and enjoy it in general. I just find part of the writing to be poor, for reasons already stated. Most of the series I read are like that, especially the more recent ones. I find contemporary authors often tackle topics they can't be bothered to read up on, even at a basic level and depict utter nonsense, or create intrigues that hinge on everyone around (except the MC) being hillariously incompetent and/or dull in order to exist. I'll still probably read it, I'm quite the slop-piggy :pacman:

yep... defamation, libel, anything to hurt a reputation is basically a civil case yet also a criminal case socially in Japan.
you can say harmless things like "I don't like this thing because something bad happened to me once with it." and the company owning that said "thing" can sue your arse down to your bankruptcy 'cause you hurt their reputation with slanderous remarks and thus have caused a crack in their pipeline which will hurt their bottomline.

That's why social image in Japan is highly synonymous to that one scene in was it Bugs Life or something where the Grasshopper guys were talking about versus one then versus an army. The bad actors in this series have started as Versus One then escalated all the way to Versus Japan Public.

also, as a teacher too, my case of stuff like bullying and the like is very different from you... it'll vary case to case and places :dogkek:

schools here often resolve cases with swift and harsh enough punishments as to send a message to all party involved... majority of the families that attend schools here are from tribes... and they are very much trigger happy to start a bloody war over one bullying case. Schools here cannot be lackadaisical when stuff like these happen so they've elected to take a hard stance over everything... which somehow works tbh... police even hang around inside campuses 'cause you'd never know with these tribes.

Who knows, Kondo luck got shitty the second he fucked with Eiji so LOL (Having my fun, but you are right, If the writer wants him the be "that lucky fool who gets hit like this" then so shall it be!)

And sorry if that came out as "Like it or GET THE FUCK OUT" that wasn't the intention of my words, that was more, "it may not be for you" the YOU being for anyone if it applies to them! But that's life, I have alot of stories I bailed from, so I don't have a HUGE tolerance (Good god I just had a Viatnam War Flashback of Usagi Drops, Specifically POST TIME SKIP Second Half! DEAR LORD the horror!) and yeah, I dislike over using RAPE (namely the favorite "Heroine is threaten with rape to get saved by the hero" trope ALOT And well the Slavery Trope! Had no issue with it in say Shield Hero and Barrier Mage, but some I do start noticing issues I don't like! Not caring too much for "Need companions and/or Waifu, just go to the nearest Slaver! "Record of Wortiea I did like for how MC is NEVER friendly with Slavers or has a tolerance for them, he does use the slaves, but he doesn't leave them such for long and frankly as long as a character is a SLAVE to the MC! I can never take a relationship between them too serious, only when they are FREED will I consider it "A relationship" likely why Rapthila isn't really Naofumi's slave anymore, as in the Mark is gone and never is re-applied once she gets the Vassal Katana! Guess the writer realized this too that their romance will NEVER be taken serious as long as she LITERALLY still his legal slave, hence doing so and some I see ususally end the slave part early on, like one that has the FMC have two ML who are twins, as her slaves INTIALLY as protectors, though she equally protects them, she only keeps them as slaves INTIALLY because she still needs their protection and risks them abandoning her as their relationship starts as HOSTILE obviously! But she did plan to free them anyway once she reaches her destination safely and the relationship develops before the freeing, so I can tolerate it

Frankly I can tolerate things I hate IF they are written well and treated as they should be! Pedophile is a NO but Age Gap romances CAN be good if done right (I will never accept "wait till they come of age" more wait till they come of age AND have a few years more maturity before I accept it, cause then it's more EQUAL PARTNERSHIP and no FUCKING GROOMING, I like it DEVELOPED properly. I can accept if the older partner is reluctant and there IS NO ROMANCE when the younger is still young, it's only around that point I mentioned that I can take them SEEING the younger as a romantic partner more seriously then if it was GROOMING like!

I'm very pleased with Endo's design, now i'm waiting for Hayashi and especially Yumi. If i remember correctly in the WN she was described as a tomboy... So as a tomboy "enjoyer", please artist don't let us down!

This manga is such a breath of fresh air. "What if everyone involved hated the main antagonist and actively caused his downfall?" so much initiative and none of the bs where the characters refuse to actually contribute to the story.

W Endou, he knows the pain of NTR so the fact that Eiji, the reason he was able to trust people again, is also getting NTR made Endou even angrier towards the scum.

Can't wait for the downfall of bitch and scum, tho I feel sorry for the mom, it's gonna sting for her real hard.

Let's not exaggerate, Japan still has the concept of protected speech on the books and this is exactly the kind of scenario it was created for. Besides, proving actual, quantifiable damage that resulted from the supposed defamation would be tough, even if civil suits have a lower standard of proof than "beyond reasonable doubt".

also, as a teacher too, my case of stuff like bullying and the like is very different from you... it'll vary case to case and places :dogkek:
I'm not saying my entire country works like what I described either. I said how it's supposed to work, so you'd likely find more examples to the contrary than otherwise.

schools here often resolve cases with swift and harsh enough punishments as to send a message to all party involved... majority of the families that attend schools here are from tribes... and they are very much trigger happy to start a bloody war over one bullying case. That sounds pretty tough and probably not as straightforward as you've described, since I imagine it's not always so easy to keep such an image of "brutal impartiality" where the local population pretty much runs on mutual grudges that one has to walk on eggshells around. Are you talking about rural India, by any chance?

I rarely object to stories on a moral basis, unless it's something utterly ridiculous that openly and unironically glorifies the fascist worldview or goes out of it's way to be pointlessly disgusting. More often I find myself not being able to take it on a purely "does it make sense?" basis and as I've mentioned, my standards for that are pretty low nowadays. A notable example for me would be "How a realist hero rebuilt the kingdom". Ironically, the writing itself isn't that bad, except for one key thing - the MC based his "strategy" on a literal interpretation of "The Prince", which could have been interesting if not for the fact that the author was 100% convinced that is what pure genius looks like and had the whole world constantly bend to accomodate that. I thought I could stomach this, but it felt like waiting for the fat lady to sing and only hearing her fart into the microphone, while everyone around applaused vigorously. I just couldn't take it :dogkek:

Since you're a teacher, I'll ask you this.

If I beat up my bully as a means of self-defense, are you going to punish me or the bully?

not India. more southern.

tbh, there's far more cases that can be classified as exaggeration. My example was more of a dig to nintendo tbh... :dogkek:
not that I made obvious anyhow...

If I beat up my bully as a means of self-defense, are you going to punish me or the bully?
In my case, we Teachers in my community and the entire country these days literally have zero power over this due to stupid power of social media and social shaming and persucution, even the Department of Education punishes us teachers if something like this comes up to the point we might even lose our teaching license even if the case itself is milder than japanese curry.... like for real.

Any form of fights which including what stemmed from bullying cases has to immediately be referred to and taken over by the guidance counselor and the principal. If we teacher try to be "responsible" and mediate, not only it'll turn ugly for our careers, we might not be able to teach anymore. We might raise our voices to gain control over the situation but that's pretty much the extent we can exert... :notlikethis:

It sucks tbh. All of us teachers here has to walk on eggshells and make sure no stupid problem arises from anything... and we're stressed and overworked as hell already. Heck, I'm only checking MD as to destress while reviewing my junior teacher's lesson plans... :worry:

EDIT: We got a new Memorandum Order from the Department of Education........ we can't even enjoy breaks properly now :qq:

Oh I read that series too

And yeah I am the same as illustrated in my previous reply! I will admit though some nitpicks are annoying me. Namely the weird OBSESSION with the Slavery trope, by that I don't just mean many Isekai writers over using it and the ones who use it BADLY to the point of glorifying it, but the ones who bitch about it with video essay on Youtube that are starting to more feel like their copying each other with no real nuisance! This ususally attracts the TROLLS who become aggravating bothering and worse ACCUSING folks of shit simply to cause trouble! I like to debate and talk about shit on these boards, but you WILL run into these POS at some point or another, and they can drive a man to want to hunt them down "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" style

I mean it's not shakesphere and even he is OVERRATED by BIG HEADED assholes who like to SOUND important bringing him and his writing up and comparing. They must read ALOT of boring shit, which isn't much if their focus on ANYTHING shakesphere like! Hell I have fanfics I do love to read as well, Fanfiction I grew tired of hearing "it's fanfic writing" like that's a bad thing! You know those saying it feel more like "I said the thing, CLAP YOU FUCKING SEALS" then really knowing "what that even MEANS!"

I'll say this, SHIT LIKE "PETER FUCKING GRILL" can bite me. I wasted too much time on that series and never found myself CHEERING for the Protagonist to get his balls cut off by his sister. I laugh that I actually WANT his Fianceee father to catch him and FINALLY end the engagement with how he keeps fucking CHEATING ON HER and she is too immature and clueless to marry ANYONE really! If I even CARE to like the MC or "his harem" it would be the Goblin girl and ORc Girl, cause I'm a sucker for Yandere with the latter, and just CAN'T help myself with "Childhood friends to lover" romances with the former....just wish it wasn't in the vein of a CHEATING story as I hate cheaters (Son of a Unrepentant Serial Cheating Dad who's actions haunt me for 30 fucking years, me going on 40 now! I can't tolerate cheaters PERIOD and you can see why Otome "reincarnated as the Villainess" stories get my love the most, can't STAND cheaters WINNING! Funny turning the "cheated on" into the Villainess of a love story huh!)

Then demanding compensation for the daughter being a ho?! Uh, no.
Well given the aono family knows what happened to the husband who cheated on the mom and seeing how deteriorated her health has been eversince miyuki's actions. I think if they calm themselves they could at least understand that the mother wasn't at fault. As compensation goes, just milk the hell out of kondo's family. They're rich right? Lmao
