What is so hard about folowing a recipe?
I never cook but when I have to it aways end up as expected because I just folow the recipe...

Oh, my. I wonder why she acts like she is evil at times, it's almost like she is trying to be a vilainess or something.

It's about how she just goes on saying what other people are trying to hide like ti's nothing. In the case of those two is about how they love someone but never had the courage to say it to anyone.

A lot of people try to deviate from recipes like when the recipe says: put it into the furnace until it gets into certain color, then they wait, they see some color and then think, its not the "correct" color, so they leave it to burn. Or add more of a certain ingredient because they think it would go better with more of that.

That sounds like what happens when I cook anything. 😅 How can you tell what the right color is? Such vague instructions drive me crazy. Baking is easier because of toothpicks, but anything that isn't just bread ends up burning on me.

I want to see Miss Hernia's reaction seeing another capture target disappear.

@mahtan

This is from my personal experience. Even when you have the recipe, you can still make a very different result from what it's supposed to be. For example, recipes usually don't tell you how many times you have to stir the mixture, or how fast you have to stir, at what temperature the mixture should be or at what temperature the butter should be.

Let's take the butter alone. Some recipes call for slightly melted, but at what temperature exactly? A difference of 5 degrees can make a difference, especially if the ambient temperature of the room is different from the ambient temperature of the room the recipe was based on. Then there's the difference in body temperature of each people. Silica could have colder body temperature, which helped retain the shape of the cookie. Joanna could have very hot body temperature, which made the butter in the dough turn oily, thus making the dough less fluffy. Then there's also the difference between different kinds of butter. Some butter reacts differently in different environments even if it's in the same room.

@Ifrittuccia I honestly can't tell if you misspelt heroine, or if it's a joke about all the times her spirit's powers have been compared to drugs.

What a worthless partner. He didn't even try to claim he loved her, or that he would try to make her happy.
What we did get was "I won't scream at you as much, so stay with me"
At best, she was just accepted as his servant with a frivolous one way love.

I like Joanna's ship most, I think. Something about her design and personality is just cute. Charles is the close second though.

Though I have to wonder how one messes up cookies that badly when you have a recipe to work with. It's pretty much a science where you have definite units of measurements to work with. X eggs, Y cups of milk, Z minutes in the oven. If the cookies burn, then decrease the time. If they taste bad, then increase or reduce an ingredient. It's just trial and error where you gradually narrow down your personal formula.

some people have no idea what low flame, mid flame and high flame mean.
also some people have no patience in waiting for stuff to cook properly.

Duke's Daughter > This > Bakarina
Fight me. I just feel like Bakarina falls off hard when they hit the school section. Duke's Daughter would've been amazing even without the Isekai concept. So weird when removing a section of the story actually enhances the base - it's like having a rock on a burger. For this series there's just been a lot of set up and I'm waiting for the pay-off. I will say that the timeskips in this series are rather frustrating. It's just moving a little too fast for it's own good, which results in characters seeming overly emotional.

Anyways I'm going to go ahead and guess that the Prince is going to attempt to set up Courtgain with the Heroine. Our MC did say it was a possibility and we haven't seen anyone else in the series for him yet. So this appears to be the case. We've been hinted at that the Prince is likely going to be in danger due to not being with the Heroine. I'm guessing due to her having the Light Spirit being able to heal him in some fashion. That being said he already found some super secret vault and gave Bertia a full heal... putting two and two together I'm guessing that's how he prevents dying here.
What is it with these Otome Reincarnation series being in such a fucking rush. Like give me that pacing in all these other slow af isekai where it gets good in 5 volumes.

Well, Duke's Daughter strips almost all of the 'otome game' parts, while bringing in alot of politics (which is good) and territory management (which is great). It was bound to stand above the rest, so comparison between them is a bit unfair. Bakarina became a bit bogged down in her over-harem, yes. Still, it gives a nice feeling from time to time (like the parts with Heroine and their budding friendship).

Bertia shows a pretty simple otoge-reincarnation plot, but shifts it around by making capture target be the protagonist. It's a nice change of direction, with people other then reincarnators doing some of the plot-shuffling, and letting Bertia and Heroine just be two dumb cute girls doing stuff of variable cuteness (and stupidity).

I don't think it had a manga-adaptation yet, but Yandere Otome WN/LN was really good too, despite the title. It had both heartfelt moments, interesting thoughts and some pretty scary stuff... And, best of all, that novel's MC never got as dumb as many, many other otoge reincarnators. Would heartely recomend it to anyone not averse to reading actual novels.

I did not miss a heroine, obviously I'm not referring to the protagonist of the manga Berta.
But you must also admit that the heroine who according to the otome game should have the male protagonists at her feet is rather clumsy.
I can not but laugh every time I see that all his attempts to approach them end up shattered because of the fact that he tries to follow the lines of the game without understanding that he should first study the education of the nobles and all the rest.
I now wait more for the heroine to enter the scene than those of Berta.
For heaven's sake Berta is adorable and she also strikes openly (I refer to her being shy about approaching in the field of love), but the heroine who hoped to be woken up by the prince at all costs. 😂
I do not know, but I literally died there.
We want to talk about when he saw the formation of couples and he screamed (read the previous chapter to this) like a madman? 🤣🤣🤣

All of the girls in this manga are heroines, except the heroine herself
what an irony

This has such a different type of plot from Duke's daughter despite them having the same type of original premise that I wouldn't really compare them.

When it comes to this vs Bakarina though, I like this better so far. I don't dislike Bakarina, but I feel like she's become a bit of a boring character, one note and predictable. Also I like Bertia going around pairing people up, and I like how she just straight up told the prince she got isekai'd into an otome game so she had an ally she could share intel with (even if that wasn't her original intent exactly).
