I'm glad that my intuition from the previous chapter was right. This bad guy is extremely based and I look forward to seeing him again in the future. His way of fighting/approach to combat is grounded and more compelling than the usual talented warrior.

He lost an arm, and not the "love the sword" kind of fighter. I think he would retire.

Looking like another shite adaptation. All the Japanese comments there are complaining about the character design too lmao. It's hard to translate the manga choreography to anime cause there really isnt much content. All the fights while it seems long to us have very few movements that'll last only seconds to maybe a minute so I'm predicting a lot of slo-mo

Man... I read the WN and I can say this is almost a brand new story... don't get me wrong, the narrative structure is the same, but the author "stuffed" with many good things... For example, these 2 preliminary fights didn't happen, the main fight was the only one... And yet it was really well written... Dude is great, you can see the amount of study to give (fairly) accurate sword fights
most likely cause this was based on the LN

Wow, this looks bland, and many people in the comments have the same concerns we have here:
The character design and how rigid it looks.

I just checked, and it seems Passione and Hayabusa are behind the project?
Oh boy...

Yes, it’s normal for the adaptation to be based on the LN, but here’s the thing:
The LN is frankly nothing special. This series gained its popularity thanks to the manga, which elevated the story to a whole new level with its overall choreography. Actually, the trailer mentions that the series has sold over 5.5 million copies, but what they don’t mention is that a huge chunk of these sales are from the manga alone.

If they adapt the LN without putting effort into what truly gave the series its spotlight—the intricate manga battles—it will be nothing but a forgettable anime, which are all concerns expressed in the comments.
