Lol great plan. Crush the guy who can chase off a dragon and caught 800 bandits in a few days.

He's probably under assumption that Alan is 'just a human'.
No matter the force you control, you are still one person.
It's the same idea of cutting off head of a snake but from a villain POV I guess.

And Wortenia Senki is still above it in term of 'this plan is fucking terrible, what made you even think of doing this'

Yes... crush the guy who can chase off a deagon and caught 800 bandits in a few days.
  • Slips in a bathtub and falls on a dagger 8 times.
  • Falls from a horse and gets pierced by a poison arrow just laying around.
  • Autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong.
  • Falls out of a window.
  • Doorknob somehow coated with deadly poison.
  • Etc
They don't know how about MCs crazy alien tech, so from their point of view, it's both doable and necessary.

Guy does something good.
"He's a nuisance and can usurp the throne"
Guy doesn't give off those vibes either. Ignore that he is planning to unite the world by any means in order to fight off those damn bugs.
"The only good bug is a dead big!"
Reminds me of Jet Force Gemini

Thanks for the TL

Bad guys tend to project.

"There's no way someone is just good, they're scheming for power because that's what I do!"

You're saying that like this guy didn't try to poison Alan on their first meeting.

Apparently there's a bigger threat than a simple baron trying to usurp the throne. Or the king really is just being silly and young :dogkek:

This is the longest shot of a plot guess, but the King is descended from the original Earth forces that stayed behind during the evacuation, and it's his family's job to provide support to whomever triggers a secret Earth Military tech sensor when they appear before them.

Neither the king or the minister is particularly wrong on this, Alan is clearly a threat having great military power and is rising up fast and taking him out or slowing him down is perfectly sensible idea even if you don't particularly care about the kingdom itself and would love to usurp the throne yourself. For the king who is young and lacks support in the court promoting someone new makes lot of sense, that's the classic playbook of nobles, promote a new person and you have a lifelong ally. Of course neither is aware of the true powers Alan has so they aren't making the correct decisions but the motives at least make sense.

The irony.. Alan have the technology, means, reason and manpower to take the throne by force, but he chose not to, instead he is avoiding bloodshed to spare the humans numbers so they can fight an Alien civilization of man-eating ants.

I imagine he explaining that to the people he is recruiting later on, also i got my expectations way too high since the chapter in which the twins showed up and said that they printed this country currency, that implies that they have "3D printers" capable of building and assemble with a large range of materials, so i was like the entire time "PRINT A ROBOT ARMY!! PRINT GUNS!! PRINT DROPSHIPS!!"

Also Alan have a point with his claims about Martial Court, the Imperial army is quite technologically advanced capable of mass colonization of space so, they probably took a LONG time to achieve it and build their ethical point of view, even banning clones while in dire need of them.

Yet, here we have Alan planning to hire children for indoctrination so they can become imperial soldiers... yeah, if the imperial army show up first before the bugs, the worst threat will be the martial court.

Thank you for the chapter.

As much as I like this story the author really has no sense of scale. 800 bandits? What, do they reproduce like mushrooms or something?
I think it depends on if you look at them as general purpose organized crime or specifically bandits in the traditional sense cause 800 people working for a couple of organized crime rings in a large capital city running extortion / drugs / human trafficking isn't crazy at all.

Of course they would be smaller in a medieval setting but nowadays you can look at orgs like the Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico with over 100.000 members and just 800 over a whole capital city sounds reasonable.
