I'm pretty sure they already knew what is going to happen and these 2 countries/kingdoms will be the test case to how overwhelming a small detachment of the Galactic Empire can be against these civilizations. After all, the grand faction i.e. the mysterious human-sympathizing entity (a.k.a. the. Goddess Luminas) really is in favor of Alan (and this goddess probably is part of the system which prepared humanity in different sections of the galaxy to resist threats such the Bugs.
I don't think the Verta/Berta and Alois Kingdoms are going to be existing anytime soon.

From the latest raw (49.2), she knew Alan was from Galactic Empire, and she knew Alan wasn't a combatant, but just an engineering crew member. Whaattt...?! And she is f*cking strong, from Special Force unit, I think.

I sadly don't have any high hope for this series anymore. I felt that the plot was diminishing in quality and it was confirmed that it was because the ln stoped and the mangaka had to take over the story.
But, again, sadly, he/she isn't doing a good work with it.
