The king being bedridden makes Ed able to do anything to please Yuri.

@mage_goo Yep probably is like in the Farseer Trilogy from Robin Hobb, the king is bedridden at some point and then everything goes downhill, after that the hero finds that actually the younger prince is secretely poisoning the King.

Aaaaaaah, I want more! The chapter felt so short and I'm already reading into what will happen in the next chapters. I re-read the whole previous 26 chapters and I'm considering to read the novel translation now...

Alfred should be at the party too, and I doubt his grandmother would allow him to not greet Iris, so he should no longer be able to be by Iris' side as Dean in the future. This is probably going to be the biggest shock for Iris at this party. To be honest, I was expecting him to come clean to Iris before the party. But the path to drama is always the same so such expectations are always thwarted. Will Iris finally learn who Dean really is?!?

Perhaps it will also be revealed in this party that Iris is the founder of the Azuta corporation. If that is the case, Yuri may use her influence to cause trouble for the Azuta corporation, and thus Iris.

I wonder if Edward will cause a scene at the party if he sees Iris; I expect Yuri will plead to ignore Iris in order to look good though. Iris is still the daughter of a Duke who is the Prime Minister and Mellice who is very influential in the aristocratic society so I don't think anyone besides Edward would dare to be insulting to her. And since we know that Iris has been invited by the Queen (as I understand it, the invitation was directed to Iris, and this thus isn't the invitation Edward and Yuri were discussing towards the head of the Azuta corporation), the latter should intervene should Edward do anything silly.

I wonder why Iris thinks it's a good idea to show off a silk dress at the party considering her current status as an outcast. She says she wants to be done with this party and return to her affairs in the fief, but she's going in blazing and proud.

There's so much that could happen to Iris in the next few chapters. In addition to that, there's the background, fairly important situation, of the King being too sick to show up and likely talk of who his successor will be. Alfred cannot not show up here, as he is a potential heir.

Idiot 2nd prince gonna cause some scene, but the queen dowager will intervene and baka prince and yuri will only look like a fool. There is scene between Bern and Yuri following the RAW, this doesnt happen in the WN so im looking forward to that part

From reading the LN translation, I imagined her dress to be more slim and drapey. And bow-less. Not so floof floomf poofy. Oh well.

I had definitely pictured the dress being more along the lines of what the translator came up with. I can't remember precisely, but I feel like it was described as being an unusually simple, understated design, that mainly showcased the quality of the materials and the deep blue colour. The dress as shown in the manga doesn't contradict that description, exactly, but it's a still little more elaborate than I'd expected it to be. And the great big bow kinda makes her look like she's been gift-wrapped. Oh well.

Quite possibly the detail of the dress is different in the LN version, not sure though coz only read the WN.
