She is a cheater. She is reincarnated. She knew how the story will go, but. Crying scenes, Desperate scenes, LOL. The author forgot about that in this chapter. Another isekai like "Orenchi ni Kita Onna", the author choose the wrong route. (DONT hate me, its just my opinion)

@hu74n - No she doesn't. The original game ended with the second prince breaking the engagement and Iris getting banished. This is all new territory.

@hu74n she knew up to her being the villainess and having her engagement annulled, maybe sent to a monastery, can't quite remember the beginning.
But the moment she kept her nobility and received the fief's management, everything was new to her cause that hadn't happened before. So, it's not surprising at all that she acts this way. She might be able to predict some things from her knowledge and education, but she doesn't know what is really going to happen in the end.

What exactly does her knowing how the story went have to do with any of this? The original story she knows ended months ago, with her being sent to a monastery THE END. Everything since she came to this world has been entirely new to her, in fact she knows less of the world than the original Alice did.

The art for this chapter was beautiful. You can really feel the contortions of frustration, fear, and desperation in Iris as well as the prince’s desire to support her, his concern, and his own annoyance with how Iris takes things on by herself. A truly beautiful recreation of a very well-loved scene.

Aaaaw... It's so sweet that I almost forgot the fact that the man lending MC shoulder to cry on is an incredibly suspicious guy lying about his identity.

Eh, he's a shady guy hiding his identity but for the most part they have a common enemy in this mysterious conspiracy of mysteriousness.

Now I'm actually worried about her reaction when the prince's true identity is revealed. If she doesn't learn the truth from him, well, she said it herself, she's probably going to break.

@r3naknyght I think I disagree. while I liked most parts of the chapter, that she didn't break down fully into total ugly-cry mode like the wn had is a real shame, like the most they did was slightly darken under her eyes to show she looks "terrible". even beautiful people get real fucked up when they start abloobloobloo-ing, and the way it was shown in this chapter visually didn't really feel like it matched the emotion of the dialogue, just some light tearing up in the corners of her eyes, her face doesn't scrunch up, etc. completely different series of course, but One Piece totally does it right. When you are really just sobbing your heart out, you ain't pretty. you got snot running out your nose, rivers of tears streaming down your face, mouth contorted in grief or anger, brow furrowed as you squeeze your eyes shut, face wrinkled as you tighten the muscles in your cheeks. The artist for this is really good most of the time, but I don't think they have much experience in doing dramatic expression changes on manga character faces like that, or didn't want to sully the beauty of Iris, which if that was the case, would make it that much worse.

Also, I couldn't wait and read ahead to the current WN translations(196 or so) and boy howdy this series is real good, I can't wait to see this entire arc visualized and some other scenes later on in manga form as well. The current WN arc if the manga gets that far will be absolutely brutal to see visually I think

Poor Iris, in a way she is caught in the middle of Dean and Ed's fight for the throne. I can understand why they, Ed and Yuri, had her denounced by the church. Iris was too strong, politically, they couldn't risk her siding with Dean. Though I don't think Ed and Yuri are aware of Dean helping Iris yet, gotta wonder why he doesn't just say he is the first prince.

Surprisingly impactful facial expressions this chapter. Might even come back to this for reference some day.
