Manga adapted from LN, never read the LN and definitely not in the WN. Again, some manga go out of the way and skip LN contents or revise them like what happened in Mushoku Tensei.
You know I was reading an KR eronovel with more plot than seggs (Eat the World Tree) and it actually blows a bunch of non ero isekai slop (including other KR isekai novels IMO, and obviously JP shit) out of the water.
We have:
Actually competent worldbuilding
Nonanachronistic setting (this is mainly t's a parallel version in our world and it's urban fantasy)
Functioning society
The use of guns and modern weapons in a modern fantasy setting.
Grey morality between factions (technically it's grey, and dark black enemies, it's very easy to not commit genocide for the giggles). This is important since even character called the hero may or may not be guilty by association
While Jung Si-woo is called "The Hero" he becomes the husband of the World Tree of Justice, who believes in a tree supremacist system and will carry Justice out like Sakazuki from One Piece will (genocides and atrocities included).
The Hunter Association isn't squeaky clean, in fact they've
The Human TLed chapters(221) aren't as far as the MTLs (885), and there's like 948 chapters raw, and the first 200 or so chapters suffer for slow burn.
No bikini armor. (no depictions of the axed manhwa or in the novel itself have bikini armor).
Actually, IDK why I'm comparing a KR to a JP novel, but the BIGGEST thing is that the MC, despite being a scumbag and kinda a rapist, DOESNT FUCKING CONDONE SLAVERY. HE ACTUALLY FREES SLAVES.
he has kidnapped people, but ultimately they benefit, and he tries nicely at times. While he kinda is a rapist, he's on a smaller scale than the World Tree or Flower having lots of slaves, especially the World Tree organization since they fucking have slavery on a systematic scale. Both the World Tree and Flower are like genocidal as well.
I think i've done apples to oranges, but damn I'm just reading this because I have hope in the potential of a guy who's trying to get the secret ending of a game.
