Something tells me this 3rd prince's death might play a role in the future story...

I've rarely seen main characters so hard to like as these ones. They all act in pretty hateful ways.

Oh God, I feel bad about the 2nd Prince, but I can't forget his psycho side... IDK... I mean he probably isn't the same for a long time, but I can't let go of that...

Thanks a lot for the chapter...

"Also, I can use it to track you down if you're ever in danger," is pretty obviously what he stopped himself from saying. Always the same with these male leads, installing tracking devices on the objects of their obsession, er, affection.

The way he switched from psycho to sweet is a whole world record lol

I feel like that maid is the mother of the kid that looks like the father.. apparently not his illegitimate son but I bet it is >_>

I'm guessing that's the funeral where he first introduce himself (I think that's what happened) in what we know as this timeline. I kept being confused with that funeral scene a couple chapters back but I guess now it makes sense with hearing about the 3rd prince.
But at the same time this is an other mystery added to the layers of mystery in this story.

What drives me crazy is the freaking timeline and how we don't really know anything about the 2nd prince outside of other characters' perspectives on him. And as well as his very obvious obsession with a female lead.

@Stoner can you please enlighten me, because I understand pretty well why the male lead would be hated (I mean, there are two chapters just smudging him f-ing up the mc's brother in your face) but I can't find myself the reason(s) to hate the female lead.

Mainly because I'm still trying to figure what the hell the author is trying to do with the story.

@Debrandir I've seen people point out he way she treats Uri, acting as if she knows what's better and that he'll actually be happy as the Duke instead of her and keeping him out of the loop when matters involve him and just... Yeah. Also there was the thing about killing the kid earlier on, which while understandable to avoid conflict it's still very questionable.

To me Lamia crosses into the "Holier-than-Thou" attitude with the child. For me she's callous and perhaps too proud, which is not a problem but not in a fan way, you know? The story does not make me want to root for her, but makes me want to take down a peg.

Of course there are people who dislike her because the Prince uwu but meh, her attitude towards him is perfectly reasonable. Also yeah, the story is Hella confusing and all over the place at this point lol

I really want to like the main leads. I came in to the story really excited by the initial chapters, but now their conduct has made them both rather unappealing.

Lamia is the easier to understand of the two, this is the man responsible for crippling her brother, taking away his life’s work(swordsmanship), and traumatizing him. I don’t know many people who’d be friendly with or romantically interested in someone who maimed and traumatized their close sibling. She’s got no choice but to play nice as he’s the prince. But at the same time she comes off as a little too proud and overbearing. Perhaps an intentional character flaw?

The prince was the character I initially liked the most but so far I’m finding him increasingly frustrating. The way he approaches Lamia obviously makes her uncomfortable, not to mention the deception involved with the Rose, the disguise to meet her in the garden, the ugly jealousy over a woman who is not your significant other(not in this timeline), etc. If he wasn’t the male lead, we’d find his actions pretty creepy.

Hopefully the author is setting things up this way as opportunities for them to grow and improve as people before they can trust one another.

@zikakuto Lamia would be okay if the Prince weren't a literal psychopath now flashing woobie eyes. I don't mind complicated characters, and her drive to protect her brother, even at the expense of others, is a great flaw.

Just killing people and cutting off a guy's hand and paying people to harass others is beyond a flaw.

Is this the maid that tried to kill Lamia before? That maid had brown hair too 🧐
