I think the legal minimum age for marriage for females in Japan is 16 and 18 for males so there's probably a couple of years before we reach that part of the story at the minimum, A slight digression but under certain bylaws it used to be 13 for females although i believe they brought the whole country to 16 a few years ago.

For anyone curious, google image search up Charlotte Mckinney, she's a model that's 5'7 and 145lbs, with roughly similar (though definitely smaller) breast sizes to the FMC here.

Though I'm not shocked that a mangaka has zero clue of what reasonable weights are for women. Like, if you look up pictures of women around that height and weight, you get tons of "after" pictures of someone who just lost a bunch of weight and now looks very fit. Most of the before pics are around 180-200lbs or so, and look like how FMC is drawn.

I don't think it was the age for marriage that went up, but the federal age of consent for sexual activity (which was always superseded by every single prefecture having an AOC of 18-20, while allowing sex between underage teenagers).

Apparently not enough people watched that Nostalgia Critic episode on Sailor Moon, so they don't know this and end up doing things like denigrating Japan or-- on the other side of things-- trying to justify loli by way of statutes that wouldn't apply to fictional characters.

Yea, I figured they ment AoC. Folks try REALLY hard to make it seem like Japan is down for the old way, but they just didn't change it Federally because everywhere already had the 18-20 rule.
