With how strong Reece is, why does the world needed someone with brave factor to kill demon lord? Can't Reece just kill demon lord? Or it has to be the brave if not, then demon lord can't be killed?

Problem is that he doesn't know how strong the Demon Lord is nor the limit of the hero.

For all he knows, the hero and Demon Lord can reach levels he can't touch.....

The way I see it, it's akin to jigsaw pieces not fitting together, so the demon lord won't die until defeated by a special one.

That, and also the fact that Reece will probably be very much like Frieren - long-lived magic-loving knife-eared friend to the party that cares more about travelling to collect stuff than to defeat the demon lord and retire.
