Some manga do have some of those aspects you mentioned, but there's only so much you can do before it gets super repetitive.

Like the RDM manga they did investigate the original party, demoted them and then punished the heck out of them for repeated offenses.

The auto-skill one, I think they did also investigate his old party but because party leader was the son of a noble things got swept away until the second offense.

I think they found about the wrongdoings of the party from the SSS WHM with a knife manga and they got punished, but not that it matters after what happened to the party.
Yeah, i know all of those manga. But it only put as a side story. What i meant is the investigator story be put as the main plot. Maybe Ace Attorney style.

Man, I hope that if the hero kid doesn't have the balls to denounce his old party MC will.
They deserve to be punished, running ahead is one thing, but they decided to use him as bait, glasses is not innocent, didn't stop to think and was okay with their leader suicide plan, it doesn't matter if she knew kid was right, she got used to seeing him as a inferior, just didn't openly mistreat him.

I wish for no redemption for carol.
I wanna hear her pathetic excuses first tho. Then i wanna see her despair.
But i think jin, being the hero he is, would forgive her 🙄🤌

Yeah ... thinking was OBVIOUSLY NOT Luke's strong point. Probably only made it THIS far due to a strong support guy. I wonder why we have to relive THIS particular trope so much recently. Ah, I know. Because most authors/mangaka are bereft of original ideas and crib notes from every other story that is semi-popular.
It’s specifically a type of wish fulfillment. Given that work culture in Japan is the way it is, “dying from overwork and reincarnating into a better life” and “getting kicked from a group who only realize after how much they all relied on you and having your true worth recognized” perhaps have more meaning to the Japanese audience than just the premise itself at face value.

Personally I would kinda hate that. Because what it does is destroy the hole reason Minori is what she is today is because she loved this hero who saved her that day, and wants to be there for them in good and bad times. Having her randomly fall in love with the hero without it being something out weighing years of mystery love search and gratefulness would make me despise the idea.
Well same, but it reminded me of the other elf story, or rather somehow authors of such stories like doing that 🥲

It'd be nice if the scummy party leader would throw someone else out of the party in these plots as a curveball. "Obviously we should dump Solala and Lulala, they complain every moment of every adventure. The porter? Why would we do that, who would carry the baggage?"

Everyone would hate that.

And wouldn't even be love you'd feel bad for the hero, since he'd just be playing second fiddle.

And as you mentioned would make her "love" worthless and kinda a bitch... jumping ship like that.

Ahem.... sooo I dug through the raws...

And without saying and spoilers... I'll at least say the author isn't doing that. (isn't having her fall in love with hero)

Here (spoiler warning obv, for chapter 12, so you won't have to be too patient):
Our Elf boy and her kiss.

I would post the image but mangadex requires URL.

So here's the raw: https://rawsakura.com/majutsu-wo-ki...-de-ikeru-densetsu-to-naru-c841783/chapter-12

Unsure which is the bigger trope, here: being humiliated and thrown out of your adventuring group, or winning the superpower lottery after paying your dues as a loser. This chapter outdid itself...

This vol3 cover... The way Minori's face is shown in Jin's sword isn't a good sign to me.
Please don't finish her off too soon.:worry:

The missing text on page 7: Ku....! - Advanced Water Elemental Magic Water Pressure Cannon!! - My magic - was absorbed....!?

Also on page 20 it's: "Black flame sword".

You aren't wrong. But also, schlocky isekai has a bit of a tendency to critique, or at least vent about, Japanese work culture, and this trope is a very clear parallel to shitty bosses that throw their employees under the bus for their own incompetence. Which are far too common, and extremely relatable.
This trope is less used to critique anything and more to put the blame for the MC being a trash on someone other than himself.

The common point of all these story is the MC being a massive wimp, never even having the balls to take care of himself and letting everyone use him as a carpet.
After this the author act as if the MC, that was a massive wimp, could become a super hero if he was released form the people who abused him.

It's all only for self insert and nothing more, like most isekai. There's nothing profund only a bunch of people that want to ignore the real world and self insert themself into these story.

That's why there's all kind of disgusting "revenge" story were the MC is far worst than any of the people he suposedly took revenge over. Or why the mc always get everyone to suddently become super friendly with him.
Yet these MC never put the smallest amount of effort to change themself.
