Yep, tbf, we appreciate people like that, since it's pretty much how discussions should be instead of just attacking one another.I always try to take a respectful approach, because it helps others see your point as more neutral and reasonable. Attacking someone personally usually only weakens your argument.
Also true, since we didn't expect that comment to be posted at all. However, in this case, the issue began with the staff member himself when he called everyone who was trying to understand the situation “pedophiles” over drawings. That kind of accusation opens the door for people to respond just as harshly, since he started with one of the lowest insults he could use.
For example, if you check May 15's mass takedown, you can probably see how we went radio silent for hours before releasing a public statement, since we needed time to prepare a response that could answer any questions (or at least the main ones) people had at the time.
This time, however, we didn't have the opportunity to do the things properly given that multiple steps were either skipped entirely or done incorrectly from the start.
Sure, as I said, all this mainly blew up due to the aforementioned unsavoury comments which shouldn't have happened at all, so we also understand why they're angry about it (heck, we also are).Keep in mind, his comment was not directed at a single person, but at anyone who reads manga that includes loli characters. Given that, I can understand why some people are responding disrespectfully at this point and I'm not one to judge.
Now, on a somewhat unrelated note, to all of those that told us to kill ourselves (because there are multiple of them), what the hell is wrong with you?
