A most needed account no doubt.Thank you, i lost my old account.
You're saying this in a thread about sexual manga. No one is forcing you to follow all the rules. There is a difference in how grave the sins are, and things like not being LGBT are part of the pillars of most religions.
If you want to ignore the most important parts of religion, then what's the point of following it at all?
sexual manga about children no lessYou're saying this in a thread about sexual manga.
Fun fact: there's multiple versions of the 10 Commandments in the Bible. Many people just follow the 10 Commandments
this requires a level of intellect and introspection that the average person is literally incapable of doing.Fun fact: there's multiple versions of the 10 Commandments in the Bible.
... people who are biblical literalists are a tiny, tiny minority. "The Book" is full of contradictions, updates, and in the first place, its content depend on what you accept as being part of it and what not, and even then, on how you translate it, and what you then take from the allegorical bits.
How many know that at times stories where Jesus went after dragons was part of the cannon at some point?
To bring some relevancy to this thread: people aren't machines. It's entirely possible to hold contradictory convictions - I think the death penalty is a travesty and shouldn't exist. I also think someone should shove an explosive drone up Putin's arse.
In the same way, there's no point moralizing about mangadex banning one form of content and not another. Yes, it's hypocritical. But it's run by people, and they can view things in more ways than just "this is all black, and that's all white". They can absolutely draw a wobbly line around content and be all "well this is too much, for some reason, while that's okay, even if it's technically quite similar"; for now fortunately nothing on here is enforced by AI algorithms so it's doable ^^
That of course does not excuse the reaction, how they went about it, and least of all does this mean it's definitely a good idea to do so. But those are different arguments.
I will still take the cradle tho.A most needed account no doubt.
The thing is, not being LGBT isn't a pillar of Christianity. It's nowhere near foundational to the faith, and in fact, the few places it is mentioned are highly contentious because of the difficulty in translating Hebrew to English, since we are so far removed from the time the original text was written that we have very little cultural context for the words that were chosen. No one is forcing you to follow all the rules. The core beliefs of any Christian faith are the 10 Commandments and the parables of Jesus. Everything else produced "AD" is meant to be interpreted and applied to one's life as they see fit, there are countless different denominations for this reason.
It’s not a founding admin; it’s someone who joined relatively recently (around two years ago) and appears to have close ties with NamiComi, which is part of the broader issue here.Ah, I must've missed that in all the chatter. Thought it was a mod, not an admin. Dunno if they were around from the founding, but if so, wouldn't they have final authority on what they want and don't want to see on their site? If people don't want to support them because they can't find titles they're looking for, no one is twisting their arm and forcing them to. I'm pretty sure the site would do just fine without certain titles, regardless of how haphazardly the rule is applied. Again, just because it's community-supported doesn't mean that the community can dictate everything. Sure, hit them in the pocketbook to prove a point, but is there enough to do just that? I'm pretty sure the site would survive with or without whatever titles people are taking issue with. I mean, what's to stop them from reinstating them only to have them mysteriously nuked under a "DMCA takedown" notice? How is that any different? This is taking any of the admin's comments out of the equation, mind you.
If we're being honest, none of the "legal mumbo-jumbo" presented on this site would stand up in court anyway, and it's really just a poor attempt to avoid running afoul of any laws (a really bad way of "get out of jail free").
There is a big ass difference between tolarate and acceptA fair portion of denominations within Protestant Christianity (excluding the evangelicals) do accept LBGT members to some degree. In some cases they are also allowed to serve as clergy.
Not surprised a transexual staff / admin started all of this. these ppl always invade moderation / admin teams across communities and change the rules / culture from within, they have a heightened sense of morality because they depend on said morality for their social acceptance and inclusion.
"Excuses"?? Dude, the Bible barely mentions homosexuality as it is, and the places that people claim it does can also be interpreted as criticizing self-indulgent lifestyles in general. For example, some believe the story of Sodom to be clearly anti-gay, while others believe it to be a cautionary tale against allowing a society to fall into inhospitality and selfishness. Can we stop with the excuses to make ourselves feel better and see things as they truly are?
The Bible addresses same-sex sexual behavior clearly and consistently as sinful, not open to interpretation not implied, there is not 1 bible i have read without text against same-sex sexuality.
10 seconds on google all you need.
