Anna folded because she's a fathercon.
My suggestion to you is to abstain from reading every times new chapter comes out from now on, and just binge-reading it once 20 or 30 new chapters came out for better experience.... Yeah, you guys have fun with this one, I'm done. I don't like tournament arcs and this was already tournament-like so I was just waiting slowly for it to end just for them to suggest another one that I don't know for how long it's gonna last, lol. Well...![]()
I think the point is whether she had the will to fight, rather than having the skills to win. She was told she could get the succession if she killed him – I could see a case where not going for the kill would've disqualified her anyways, though it wouldn't have been as satisfying or even reasonable.Yep, girl got sat down.
I agree with aveney41 - even if the outcome was obvious, a couple more panels of blows would've been more satisfying.
Taking a guess at Anna's weakness here... she's the most skilled among her sisters, and I'm sure no one was expecting her to be able to outright kill the demon king...
She lacks that Warrior's Spirit; to stand in the face of, and possibly overcome impossible odds.
You will be surprised in the next chapter tbhAren't the demon and human kingdom not on good terms politically? Would he be able to even get her in?
I don't remember it's been awhile and I may be confusing this manga with another.
You will be surprised in the next chapter tbh
Its nothing majorYou're getting my hopes up, I will hold you to it. On the subject of hope reminds me of one of my favorite quotes.

My man a hundred grand 🤝Fia's mom uooogghhh. 🦀🦀🦀
Demon king's taste is preem as usual.
I just didn't see it being possible for Anna to kill him, even IF she listened to Fray; six months seems too short for that.I think the point is whether she had the will to fight, rather than having the skills to win. She was told she could get the succession if she killed him – I could see a case where not going for the kill would've disqualified her anyways, though it wouldn't have been as satisfying or even reasonable.
...that insta-fail on Anna was just dumb. Like really? "Oh yea, all or nothing 'your my successor right now or dismissed for good'"? Why was she last if her winning would just decide all that on the spot? No point in even doing the other tests then.
I think the point of why it was so short wasn't that she couldn't beat him.....but she instantly lost the will to fight the moment he became her opponent. If he was just unbeatable for the current her, I can see a few panels of combat. But she didn't take out her weapon, take a stance, or anything just collapsed. He saw that and immediately failed her.
I wanted there to be more but I completely understand why there wasn't. It wasn't his job to motivate her to fight, her trial was given, her opponent was named and she lost her will. Failure as a warrior, lack of Warrior's Spirit as you said. Even Fia, the cinnamon roll of the sisters didn't change her stance even when she was told her sister would become a causality of her decision.
