@Vasqueztion Dude, it was exactly the guns, she did everything right, the tactics and decisions were all on point, her cockiness is earned, don't give me that humility is a virtue BS, you can't expect someone to prepare for technology that superior with zero intelligence, her wind barrier was designed to deflect arrows and defend against magic, not the rapid-fire of physical penetrative force on the level of those rifles.

@Drims Whoever said that hasn't played D&D, you have to design a spell like that with bullets in mind, she had no reason to expect guns and no practical experience with them to prepare properly if she did.

She did not even come close to make everything right because assuming that just the first floor was the opponent's ace and that you will be fine after passing it is already a fatal mistake.
No matter the opponent you always have to assume that it will stay the same or get even worse on the next floor.

So if the first floor is designed to be a small tunnel with guns pointing towards the entrance and shooting at any intruder then why should the second floor not just be a repetition of that or an even worse situtation for the intruders?

@Talh My point was that she had no reason to expect modern weaponry let alone the tactics we've built up using them, it's all too foreign, that would be like expecting an airforce to attack your army in the middle ages, you can't even begin to explain the concepts behind them, let alone convince someone to expend effort preparing for them.

Well, what other alternative to betting on breaking through that first room with everything she had and hoping for the second and third to be easy passing did she have? It was not like she was managing to get through with anything but an all-out assault. It was either betting on that slim chance or just surrendering. And surrendering is not an option when all demon lords and god are watching and expecting a good show. It's not like she has any real hope of holding her own dungeon when the simple golems already decimated her army like that.

Exactly. It was impossible for her to expect what she ran into, and devising a strategy against completely foreign weapons like mustard gas, anti-personnel mines and .50 cal machine guns is hard enough when you are not pressed for time and with very limited options. Expecting her to fare better in this situation is ridiculous.

yes cancelled however its being remade, Sono Mono. Nochi ni…(Nariie Shin’ichirou) - first chapter is on the site - not as good as the first and the story starts *after* he left the mountain already

even if we take the guns out of the equation, she was being too full of herself, like sure the guy just started, but there's a minimum of respect that should be granted to your peers, she had it coming, even if he didnt have guns, he could had aerial traps or stuff like that, she just assumed he was a bumbass and went for it.
