Didn't they say early on that a Dryad can only have one partner? Is that only the case with females or does that mean they can only have a child with one partner?

Also, he just casually showed up, destroyed the training ground, and then skipped away. I think the whole self-centered thing isn't too far off lol.

Claune is really great, but Chris is definitely my favorite girl. Can someone who read the LN spoil me if she’s also gonna become Ain wife? I mean, it looks like their going for that direction with every Chris scenes.
She literally just took an ancient elf ritual and appropriated it to use as a marriage vow, so I would argue they are married now.
...Though I wonder what the original meaning of the ritual was, considering the king was more shocked regarding that, than having just witnessed chris marrying herself to the crown prince.

I think it was originally a wedding ritual but Chris instead used it to swear fealty to our mc.
so they’re probably married now but he hasn’t figured it out yet

Mc gonna have 4 wife if i remember mc mom is one of the harem member
I cannot comment on there being 2 more, but yes he's engaged to chris and claune at least, maybe more, in the current LN volume.
Also remember that the emperor must have at least 1 demi-human wife by ishtalican law, which chris fits being part elf.

No, I think it's the other way around. She used an elf marriage ritual as a way to pledge her eternal allegiance to him in an allegedly platonic/fealty-based sort of way. That's why the king reacted how he did, because he knows it's supposed to be a marriage ritual even though he understood that Chris (sort of) meant it a different way (or did she? :p)

I disagree. That was clearly meant in the romantic fashion, and as a secret pseudo-wedding.

The idea of using some quick ritual or action like that and have it actually mean they're now married is a bit of an old and overused trope. It's usually used to stick yet another girl to the MC, although in this case she was already stuck, so it's fine.

would've been nice if it was him who sparred with his younger brother tbh, tho i'm happy that kid got put in his place a couple of chapters ago, seeing ain's power now made me realize... that he could've solved too many future problems had he just taken it and actually attacked his brother

On her part yes in a sort of indirect/subtextual sort of way. but she's also indicated before that she feels like she doesn't have the right to be around him or treated so well by him because of the difference in their stations. So for her it's like a secret wedding only for herself in a "I can't have what I really want, but this is as close as I'll get" sort of way. Outwardly she's playing it more as a commitment to always protect him.

It's very much in the vein of how things like this tend to go in manga or samurai stories or whatever.
